Tris P.O.V
"Who is this?" I asked.
"I am David."
"Yes sir, what is it?" I whispered.
"I have to tell you that today at the airport another consignment of Marcus is going to arrive, tonight at 1:30 am. He will also be there, this is a great chance of killing him. Tell Hazel, too. And yes, I know you are in Blue Ridge Mountains my man will accompany you, he will meet you infront of the house you are in at 9 sharp."
"Yes, sir." With that he hung up.
I placed my phone on the shelf. "Who was it?" Tobias asked.
"It was........" What excuse will you make now, Beatrice? "Uncle George, he called us to ask of our well being and he told that Aunt Martha is ill."
"Oh! You can go and tell Haze."
"Yeah, I was going to tell Haze." I made for the door and went out of the room.
I was going to knock on the door, when I heard Haze and Gus both singing while Gus played the guitar. They are such a cute couple. Aren't they? I cleared that thought out of my mind and knocked on the door.
"Come in," Gus said. I walked in.
"Can I borrow Haze for a second." I said.
"Of course, after all she is your friend." Gus said. Haze walked towards me I grabbed her hand and took her to the living room.
I told her about the call and finally said,"What do you think we should do?"
"I think we should go." She said.
"I know we will go but how will we make them sleep, because I know To-Four won't sleep." I said tapping my foot in the ground.
"Here," she gives me a packet filled with powder. "Put it in his water and he will fall asleep."
"Where did you get it?" I said examining the packet.
"Bought it years ago. I thought it would come handy and yes it came."
"Thankyou," I hugged her. "You are the bestest!"
"Welcome now go."
I went back to my room. Tobias was playing a game on his phone. "Hey! You have to help Aunt Jennifer make dinner it's almost 7." I said walking towards him.
"Okay, I am going." He kissed on my cheek before going to the kitchen.
After some time, he said," Dinner is served."
"What is in dinner, Chef Four and Aunt Jennifer?" I said sitting at the table.
"Steak." Aunt Jennifer placed a slice of cooked meat. While Tobias placed cheese on top, fries and onions at the side of it.
"It looks delicious," Haze said.
"Try it." Tobias said.
"Yes it is really tasty." Aunt Jennifer said. "You should participate in Masterchef, my child." Tobias started to blush.
We all talked during dinner and I mixed the powder in Tobias' glass when he wasn't looking. Sorry.
When the meal was finished. We all went to sleep except for me and Haze. Tobias kissed my forehead and said, "Good night."
"Good night to you, too" He wrapped his arms around me. This made me feel safe. But I knew that I had to go. I had to leave him. I am sorry to break your promise. Please forgive me.
After 10 minutes, I removed his hands off of me. I wore my black jeans, jacket and full-sleeves shirt. Made my hair into a ponytail and went out with Haze. It was a starless night. How wicked!
We saw a man standing infront of the main door. We walked up to him. He said, "Hello, I think you guess you are the agents." We both nodded. "Nice to meet you I am Amar." We both shook his hand. "I think we should go. We have no time to lose."
We three, sat in a truck and headed towards the airport. We both were given guns by Amar.
We set off for the area where Marcus would enter to take his delivery. We waited for a while. After few seconds, a car came, Marcus and his men got out and were moving towards the man with the delivery.
At this point, all three of us shooted. This made his men aware of us in their surrounding. It wasn't long before one of his men spotted us, hiding. They all fired at us while we tried to run to the truck as fast as possible. BUT FATE! CHANGED IT ALL.
We were so close yet so far, when I was shot in my shoulder, but I ran ignoring the pain while I could feel the warm blood dripping down my shoulder.
It was during this time, Haze was shot in her back three times. She screamed, which made the men think that I am dying and they left. I and Amar ran towards Haze. He carried her in the truck and drove to the hospital. My vision was blurred due to the tears in my eyes. "No. You cannot leave me. Just stay for a while. NO! You promised!" I had started to cry.
"Tris. Tell Gus I loved him. Be brave. Always take the right decision. I will never go I will always remain here." She whispered and pointed at my heart and smiled. These were her last words when she left me. I yelled, screamed, cried.
We reached the hospital. My wound was treated. I knew that Haze died, I didn't need any assurances from the doctor. I called Gus to come.
While I was waiting. Memories came back to me. When she confronted me at my family's death, when she told me her past, when she helped me, when she scolded me, when I ruined her secret and last of all and one of the freshest memories when we threw snowballs at each other and when I hugged her for helping me again. All of these were dear to me I started to cry non-stop. I knew that no one will help me, no one will confront me, no one will be as good as her. I know that I will miss her laugh, her tears, her helpful character, her being motherly towards me in short I will miss everything of her. I will miss her.
All of these thoughts crowded me as I didn't realize Gus was standing beside me.
"What happened?" He whispered.
"As you were close to Haze I am telling you this. But don't tell anyone." I told him the whole story at the end I said," She also told me to tell you that she loved you." He started to sob. I didn't knew that they both loved each other so dearly.
