Chapter 27

Tris P.O.V
We both rushed to Christina's apartment and knocked on her door. Christina opens the door her face is stained, eyes puffy and red. She hugs me tightly and sobs.

"Christina what happened?" I whispered stroking her hair.

"It's........." She pulls me to a room where I saw a corpse. The face is unidentified from the blows it got. Blood is seeping from its face and onto the mattress.

I keep my eyes wide open. "Who is he?" I ask covering my mouth with my hands.

"Gus." She whispered and tears streamed on her face.

I fell to my knees in shock. Why? First, Haze and then Gus. Why? Are you so cruel.

"We have to call an ambulance." Tobias said.

"I already have they will be here any second." Christina said.

The ambulance came just after that. We were taken to the hospital. While the doctors were examining the fatal wounds. Tobias said,"How did this happen?"

"I woke up to drink some water. As I reached the kitchen I heard a loud thud as if someone had fallen on the ground." She gulped."When, I reached Gus' room he was lying with blood on his face. That's when I called you." She said.

I just sat on the chair with shock. So much shock that I couldn't utter a word. My hands were trembling and heart racing.

The doctors told us that he had died due to the deep wounds on his brain. I sat there in thought:

Flashback:
My vision was blury. I had something heavy in my hand. A person stood before me begging me to stop. But I didn't stop I raise the thing in my hand and hit hard on that person's head. I heard crunches of bones. Then, I came back to reality, I had a hammer covered in scarlet blood. I looked upon that person, she had burnette hair, her head was crushed and a pool of blood surrounded her. What did I just do I murdered someone? Why? Who is she? I ran away from the crime scene. Hoping no one would know.

Its the same thing which happened today which happened 3 years ago but the difference is I didn't do it as last time. Why are you so cruel, time? You gave me loads of guilt and regret in the past. You took everyone one by one. First my family, then my friend and then my brother's doppelgänger. Now who is your next target me? Take me but not anyone else.

Whoa! So Tris had a really rough past. Now Gus has been murdered really sad. The question here comes is that who murdered, Gus? What happened to Tris which made her kill that girl?
