Tris P.O.V
Next morning, I woke up to the Sun shining on my face. Even after a long sleep I was tired. So I went to the balcony and leaned against the railing just like, Haze.
For once in my life everything seemed so peaceful as the clouds looked like cotton floating in the light blue sky lighted up by the brightly, smiling Sun. I closed my eyes and my breathing went in a peaceful rythm making myself feeling free from all of the thoughts in my brain. I felt like a bird flying freely through the clouds with the view of the city beneath me. I felt like a fish swimming freely into the depths of the ocean.
"Enjoying," someone said. I opened my eyes, Haze was beside me smiling and said "Yeah". "This is how you feel when you abandon all of your grief." Haze said opening her arms towards the city. "You mean that I feel like a prisoner freed from the darkness," She nodded. "Just tell me I did abandoned my grief before your death why didn't I feel this way than?" I said. "It is because you didn't you just thought you did but you didn't." I gave her a confused look,"I mean like when your family was killed you did thought that "I have to accept that they are not here" but you still yearned for them to be with you." She explained. "So it means that whenever I wake up every morning expecting you to come out and hug me I accept that you weren't there but I still wanted you to be with me." She nodded, "This means that today I accepted that you are not here". "Correct you are." She says patting my head. "Now I think I must go you also have to pack right?" Haze said before disappearing in the bright light.
I opened my eyes. Was she right about me abandoning grief and going towards happiness? I don't know.
The ball rang. I made my hair into a messed up bun. And then opened the door. A smiling Four greeted me,"Hey! How are you doing?" And he handed me a donut and a cup of coffee.
"I am doing fine." I let him come. "How did you knew that I didn't had breakfast". I said taking a bite of the chocolate donut.
"Just a thought came in my mind and I bought it for you." He said sitting on the couch.
"Aww, thanks" I said still standing.
"Why are you standing?"
"Because I have to pack and I don't have all day". I said sipping the coffee.
"First, finish your breakfast and then we will pack."
"Okay." I sat on the couch and finished the donut and coffee. "All done let's go."
First, I and Four to cleared the kitchen. I took out old boxes from the store room and gave them to him for the cutlery and crockery. "Be careful, make sure they don't break."
"Yeah they won't break," He assured me.
Once that was done, I went to my room and cleared out my closet, drawers and vanity.
After that, I cleared out Haze's room I took her book and laptop and left out everything to be donated.
When all of the packing was done I and Four sat down to rest. It was just like the day of the cyclone in the kitchen. An idea came to my mind. I went to my room which was empty except for the furniture which was left out and took two pillows. I threw the pillow towards him and announced, "Pillow Fight!" With that we both hit each other with pillows. The cotton particles from the pillow were scattered on the ground and suspended in the air. It was as if snow was falling. After sometime, we both became exhausted and sat on the couch laughing because our clothes and hair were covered with cotton particles.
It was not long when:
I saw Haze standing infront of me with her arms crossed and you are in trouble look. Uh!Oh! What did I do now? I looked with the I am sorry look. She just stood there silent for a second and next burst into laughter,"Enjoy." She said before disappearing.
I came back to reality when Four shook me, "Tris, what were you thinking?" He said.
"Nothing." I said with a small smile.
"I am going it's almost sunset. I will come tomorrow to help you move these boxes." I nodded. "Till then farewell." He kissed my forehead and went out of the door.
I took a tour of the house having flashbacks in every room of me and Haze. At last I want to Haze's room, lied on her bed and stared at the ceiling.
"Already missing this house?" Haze was right beside me I nodded. "Why shouldn't you miss it's the place where most of the time we spent, right" I said "Yeah" she said.
