Chapter 15

Tris P.O.V
I wake up to the birds chirping outside my bedroom window. I yawned and stretched like a cat and then went to the kitchen. Haze was preparing breakfast.

"Good Morning, how was your 'date'?" I said sitting on one of the chairs.

"How many times do I have to tell you it was not a date. And it went fine. We just talked about the author and the book." She said pouring coffee in a mug and giving it to me.

"Oh!" Is all I can say at this moment.

"How was your 'outing'?" She said with a small smirk.

"Well.......it went epic." I smiled thinking of the kiss.

"Really. What did you do?"

"Nothing. Just ate, drank, walked played some pranks that's all." I said smiling.

"No there is something you are hiding. Tris what are you hiding?" She said raising an eyebrow.

"Nothing." I said smiling even wider.

"No." She says smiling.

"What?"

"No".

"What is it tell me?"

"You had your first kiss didn't you?"

"Yeah." I said with a wide smile.

"With whom?" She is also smiling.

"Four." There was utter silence. Haze's eyes were wide open and her jaw dropped. "What happened to you?" I said shaking her.

"Beatrice you are an idiot!" She shouted at me.

"Now, what did I do, Hazel?!" I said.

"You kissed your family's killer. Do you realize what you have done?"

"Yeah I realize it now. But what should I do now?"

"I don't know it's your life you deal with it. Do you like him?"

"Yes. No. I don't know. I think I like him" I say choosing the right one

"So now, it's your choice to forgive him or have revenge in him. It's your life you get to choose what to do." She says leaving me and going into her room.

I lay on the couch pondering on what should I do now.

So, Beatrice what would you do if you fall in love with a killer. Would you:
(A) Take revenge
(B) Forgive him
(C) Leave the town
(D) None of the above

Do I have an choice of calling someone.

Yes you do. Whom would you like to call?

My mother. What did my mother taught me?

Remember the time you were bullied and you wanted to have revenge but then your mother said something. What did she say?

I know what I will do now. I have to now go and meet Four. I texted Christina:
Me- Hey! Do you know where Four lives?
Christina- He lives across the street from Zeke's house.
Me- Thankyou😘
Christina- Welcome. By the way, why do you want to meet him?😑
Me- I wanted to talk to him about Haze's surprise birthday.🍰

It's so easy to lie through a screen.

Christina- Ohk. Good luck with that.
Me- Thanks and bye.

I take my dagger with me for protection, and went to his house.

I knock on the door and he opens the door. "Hi, who gave you my address?"

"Christina." I said with a smile.

"Come in." I came into his house which had two floors. Kitchen on my right, living room on my left with a staircase in between.

I sat on the couch and he sat beside me.

"There is something I need to tell you." I said hesitating for a bit, fidgeting with the hands in my lap.

"I also have to tell you something. First I will tell." He says taking my hand in his.

"Okay." I say with a sigh.

"I wanted to tell you that I killed your family and now I need to kill you. If I don't Marcus, my father will hurt my sister or worse kill her. To tell you the truth, I really hate killing people." I look at him with sympathy but he does not look at me but looks on his lap with embarrassment.

"So you are going to kill me?" I say. I didn't knew he was forced by his own father. For the first time, I feel bad for him.

"No, I would never kill you. But I can tell them that I have killed you and then help my sister escape but you have to promise not to interrogate in their plans." His grip tightens on my hand.

"Why can't I? What they are doing is wrong."

"Because" His voice gets loud and then he whispers," I love you and I would never imagine to lose you." He leans in for a kiss but I push him away.

"I cannot kiss you until the barrier of secrets between us is removed." He sighs. "I wanted to say that I knew that you were my family's killer, because I am an agent I was given to put you to jail or either to kill you." He looks dead pan. "I chose the the latter, because I wanted to have revenge. Everytime when I used to see you my blood used to boil but I waited for the right moment to kill you." I smiled. "But I guess I waited to long which made me attracted to you. And now I have decided what I will do."

"What will you do?"

"My mother gave me an advice when I wanted to have revenge with my bullies and she said that, "Forgiveness is the best revenge. Even to your bitterest enemies" So I have decided  to forgive you in this way I also got my revenge." He smiled.

"You have chosen well."

"I know. I guess the barrier is removed." I said smirking. He placed his hand in my hair, I placed mine on the back of his neck and into his short hair and pulled closer. We both kissed for some minutes when I pulled away. "I think I should go Haze must be wondering where I could be."

"Yeah, bye."

"Bye" and I gave him a hug before going out.

Haze P.O.V
I don't know where Tris went. Her phone is also switched off. Where could she go?

I sit on the couch and waited for her. After a few minutes she came.

"Where did you go?" I said crossing my arms.

"I went to Four's house." And she told me that he was forced to do such things.

"Poor boy. So what is your choice?" I said.

"I forgave him." She says.

"Are you happy with this decision?"

"Yes I am. I mean this is what Mom would have wanted me to choose."

"Yeah she would have. Nevertheless, I wanted to say that I am happy for you. May God give you a good life."

"Hey! I am not getting married so I don't need your blessings." And we both laughed.

"What do you want to do? We have the whole day."

"I don't know, can we go to the amusement park?" She said excitedly.

"Yes great idea. Let's go."

We both went to the amusement park and enjoyed a lot. We took so many rides that when we came home we both slept as soon as our head hit the pillow.

Tris and Four declared their love to each other. But what will happen between Haze and Gus? Will they both remain friends?
