Chapter 3

I came home slipped into my pajamas and went to bed. I started dreaming having another nightmare. I was running through the woods. Arrows strapped to my back my bow securely in my hand. I was looking around. I was hunting for something. I walked slowly and when I heard movement I shot my arrow hitting my target but my target wasn't a dumb animal it was Derek. I killed Derek.

         I woke up breathing heavily and sweating. It is three in the morning so I decided to get up and get dressed and showered. My stomach was feeling pinched and uneasy. I got in the shower turned on the water and quickly washed. My body still shaky from the nightmare.

  I put a towel around me and grabbed my clothes. I put on a my black shirt with slit sleeve that only wrapped around my wrist and dark red jeans and black combat boots. I let my hair fall in it's natural waves and did my makeup. It was around four twenty so I walked downstairs to grab my tan messenger bag and denim jacket I looked over at my bagels but decide to skip breakfast, I don't want to eat after what I dreamed about last night. I grabbed my phone and scrolled through some texts between Danny and I.

        It was about five thirty when Allison came down fully dressed. I grabbed my car keys and started the car. Allison got in and we drove to school my hands were gripping the steering wheel so tight my knuckles turned white.

         "Are you okay Em?" Allison inquired.

 "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a sort of rough night but I don't really want to talk about it." I turn off the car grab my bag and walk into school with Allison. But I still feel sick about my dream.

        We were walking when Allison walks right into Scott and her books and papers go flying. "You scared the hell out of me." She chuckles. 

"You're okay?" He asks. 

"Once my heart starts beating again, yeah." Allison replies with a smile.

 Scott starts starring at Allison.

 "What?" She questions. I bend down to help her grab her stuff. 

"I'm just happy to see you." 

 The announcements come on over the speakers 

"Attention students, this is your principal. I know you're all wondering about the incident that occurred last night on one of our buses. While the police work to determine what happened, classes will proceed as scheduled."

         Everyone one in the in the hall groans including me. "Thank you." he says. 

"Save me a seat at lunch?" Allison asks.

 "Yeah." Scott says with a goofy grin on his face.

        I don't have a class with Allison so I walk next to Scott. I see Jackson examining his busted locker who ever did that deserves a hug and 10 dollars. 

"What are you looking at ass wipes?" He demands.

 "Nice language jackass." I fire back.

 Scott gives me a look that he is trying not to laugh. 

"Did you have anything to do with that?" I ask while walking with him.

 "Nope." He says not so convincingly. 

"If you did I owe you a hug and ten bucks." I smile at him and go to chemistry and sit next to Danny.

         I look through my pockets and my back pack. Great I left my phone in my truck. Nice Em.
