Werewolf Fashion Advice

Just when I can't take it any longer I'm pulled up to the surface gasping for breath with my iron grip still on Derek.

I cough letting all of the water out of my lungs. "Are you okay Em?" Derek asks. While we are both spitting out water. 

"Yeah you?" I gasp out.

"I'm fine. Tell me you got him Stiles." Derek says that last part looking at Stiles.

Stiles doesn't respond just keeps treading the water. I'm going to kill Scott for not answering his God damn phone.

"I can't stay up any longer, I need something to hold on to." Stiles says. We can't do this much longer. Stiles and I start swimming towards the diving board to grab on to. When Stiles loses all strength, I try to reach for it but my arm gives out and all of us go under when we are pulled back out.

I land on top of Derek and Stiles lands next to us. I look around to see Scott shifted and roaring at the lizard. The creature attacks him. It grabs Scott by it's tail and flings Scott into a mirror. He picks up the glass and the lizard looks confused by its own reflection. It roars but runs off.

Derek is no longer paralyzed and can get up. While I'm on top of him he smirks at me. "Does this mean you're no longer mad at me?" Derek questions. 

I can't help but smile, I roll my eyes. "Maybe." I slowly get off of him my body still soar from treading water for two hours.

We all stand up and of course I'm soaked to the bone. Derek puts his arm around my shoulders trying to warm me up some but he's soaking wet to, but it helps some, but my body still shakes.

 Stiles looks at me confused by Derek putting his arm around me, I never did exactly tell him Derek and I were dating. He gets a glare on his face, well this may not end well. Stiles has never really been angry at me so this will be different. 

Erica finally comes to after being no help whats so ever. I mean she is a werewolf why wear heals when you could possibly have to run for your life. Not a wise choice. If you ask me for werewolf fashion advice.

We found out the bestiary is on Gerard's flash drive and when we made it out to the cars. We plugged it in Stiles' laptop and it is pissing me off because it look like our best chance of figuring out what the hell that lizard thing was just went up in smoke because no one can read the language the book is in. Fantastic.

"Is that even a language?" Stiles asks.

I run a hand through my hair. "How are we suppose to figure out what this thing is?" Scott asks. 

"It's called the Kanima." Derek says from behind us.  We all turn around to face him. 

"You knew the whole time." Stiles says with frustration dripping from his voice. 

"No. Only when it was confused by it's own reflection." Derek replies. 

"It doesn't know what it is." I add.

 "Or who." Derek adds. 

"What else do you know?" Stiles questions. 

"Just stories, rumors." Derek replies. 

"But it's like us?" Scott asks. 

"It's a shape-shifter, yes. But it's not right. It's like a..." Derek trails off.

 "An abomination." Stiles finishes for Derek.

 Derek gives a slight nod. Then turns to leave with Erica

  "Derek." Scott calls.

 Derek turns back to face us.

"We need to work together on this. Maybe even tell the Argents." Scott suggests.

 I cringe a little. Derek is not going to like this I also  don't think that is a good idea Scott. Plus that is the one way to piss off Derek.

"You trust them? The only one we can trust out of that family is Emily." Derek spats. 

"Nobody trust anyone. That's the problem. While we're here arguing about who's on what side, there is something scarier, stronger and faster than any of us and it's killing people! And we still don't know anything about it!" Scott shouts.

"I know one thing. When I find it I'm going to kill it." Derek says through gritted teeth. Then turns on his heel to leave. I want to follow him but he won't listen to me when he is that pissed off. He's going to get himself killed if he goes after that thing alone. I need to stop him. The war is starting and blood will be shed.

First off this is so short I hate myself, but I am posting more soon so be ready. Things are about to go down.
