Chapter 10

I woke up the next morning I had a headache, my hands were sore. I was drained. I wanted to sleep forever. I wanted everything to be a nightmare, I wanted to wake up and everything be okay but my nightmare had became real life. It was my new reality. A reality that I didn't want to be possible.

My mother was gone and I had held a weapon on the person I cared so much about and trusted with my life.

He betrayed me.

I will never forget the look on his face when I held the weapon at him. His bright green eyes were darkened with pain and pleading with me to listen.

What could he possibly say to make things better to make it hurt less? I can't ever trust him. I sat up slowly in my bed, expecting to see a mess of broken pieces of glass everywhere but there was nothing. My room left no traces of what happened. There were no broken pieces of glass anywhere. My room was neat it was as if nothing happened last night. The only reminder was the hole in my wall. Did Allison come and clean my room?

Dad?

Gerard?

I highly doubt anyone of them doing that.

Derek?

Why would he do anything to help me I held him practically at gun point. He should hate me. I finally did what Kate wanted I became a monster like her.

My hands were still bandaged from last night. I touched the wrappings on my hands thinking about Derek. I went over to the shower and turned the water on I needed to let the pain and the memories of last night fade.

But I don't think that was possible. I got out off the shower and looked for something to put on and nothing seemed appropriate all of my clothes all seemed to be to bright. I grabbed my black skinny jeans black long sleeve shirt and black hoodie and put them on. I tied my hair in a high pony tail.

I noticed I didn't take the necklace off from Lydia's party. I went to pull it off but I didn't want to. I kept it on but tucked it inside my shirt so I wouldn't look at it. I wasn't sure how or what I was going to but I knew everyone in my house wanted revenge and Derek was in trouble. I needed someone who could help me with anything and I knew the one person I could call.

Stiles.

It was early in the morning and he probably wouldn't even be awake. I sat on my bed, my hand next to my mouth.

I called him. "Hello?" He answers groggily through the phone.

"Hi. Can I ask you something?" My voice is tight.

"Yeah of course." He says in a completely serious tone.

"How do you keep going when the worst thing has happened?" I question.

"Em what are you talking about? What happened?" He asks sounding concerned.

"Nothing, just tell me."

"I have you, Scott. You guys are my best friends. All I need is my friends to stand by me and help me through it."

"Okay. I got to go."

"Em, please tell me what happ-" I cut him off and hang up.

He's wrong its not that easy. I have to change inside to survive, and that was the sad and bitter truth.
