-Evangeline's POV-

When I turn around I see Sandman standing in the door way.

"Uh-" I start but he hurried into the room and quickly unties me and carries me out of the room.

"We have to hurry." He says and runs through the halls.

"How?" I croak out through my dry throat.

"Tracking devices." He says and runs through a door then out the other leading us outside.

Off in the distance I could hear the alarms go off.

"Shit." He says and runs faster.

I don't know if it was just me being crazy or if it was actually true but I swear I heard his heart beat a little faster when I wrapped my arms around him.

"Asher!" He yelled at the upcoming car.

The side door of the van swings open and max jumps out.

Grayson holds the door open as Sandman basically throws me in. Max jumps in after and Grayson gets in the passenger side.

"Go!" Sandman shouts at Sandy who steps on the gas. I glance out the window to see some men start to leave the building. I also notice the very large distance Sandman ran, while holding me.

My eyes look over at him and he looks at me breathing somewhat heavy. His eyes were clear and not cloudy like every other day. I could see exactly why he was thinking and he was relived yet scared.

"Thank you." I whisper then I lay down.

When I woke up I was aching everywhere. My stomach was throbbing and my head was pounding.

"Oh God." I mumble sitting up slowly. My whole body was bruised but I was squeaky clean from all the blood.

Interesting.

I jump a little noticing Sandman walking in the room.

"I thought you were still sleeping." He mutters his brows creasing together.

"No I uh I woke up." I stutter and look down.

He nods and brings some food over to me to eat. My stomach hurt to much for me to eat though.

My head starts to run a million miles an hour. Sandman risked his life for mine by going into there. He could have left me for good because what role do I serve? He risked everything.

"Payne." I blurt and he looks up surprised then squints his eyes at me.

"That's not my name." He corrects.

"I don't care. I just wanted to say thank you." I mutter turning red. He looks closely at me, studying me.

"I mean you could have died. Why? Why did you save me when you could have very well just left me." I whisper looking down.
