chapter7: GIFT OF LIFE

It's been 6 months since I know Rahul. Me,rahul,kuldeep, sheethal and Akash are one gang now, we hang out like no one did in the college.
There are lots of changes in our life now! well, sheethal is constant ,She stopped switching from one boyfriend to another! Akash is her boyfriend.
One semister just got over! Kuldeep started liking another girl ,he hangs out with her sometimes,so me and rahul started hanging out, Rahul became a part of my life, there are only countable days, if I count the days I didn't meet Rahul in 6 months!
But now the time came for me to not meet Rahul for some days! Actually a month, we have holidays Now after the exams got over, It's been 2 days since he left mysore! Though he calls me often But i miss him and yeah, he is still my friend!

My phone started ringing,ohh Rahul called me!
'hello,where are you?',he asked.
'hello Rahul,i am in home,why?'.
'i miss our hang outs very badly, we will plan a trip,what do you say?',he said.
Couldn't he tell that he miss me? I smirked.
'okay, but what should I say In home? Who all? And how?',i asked.
'fine, we are going to ooty ,you say mom that you are going with sheethal,anyway I have called her and kuldeep, they will join us ,I will bring my dad's car!',he said.
'okay,i have to ask my mom! I am not coming anywhere if she says no!',i said.
'Yeah I know that, call me once u get permission from your mom', he said.

Yes,that is Rahul,from the day we became friends , he pulls out one or the other reason to meet me,even during the holidays we used to meet atleast for half an hour, he used to come my home,my parents are good with him,even my mom listens to him more than she listens to me sometimes!
I have to ask my mom, I don't know how I can convince her,but let me try.

'mom ,I am bored in home, can I go somewhere?',i asked her in a low voice.
'yeah go to room and sleep,you won't be bored in doing that!',my mom said.
As soon as my mom said this , my dad bursted out into laughter.
'What? Dad .....! ,do I look like a joker?',i asked to my dad making one eyebrow up!
'yes you are the one! Go and sleep',my mom said and she also started laughing.
'Fine,i am going to my room, but I am not sleeping the whole night,i am angry on you both',i said .
I just walked into my room by keeping big steps!

Are they really my parents? They are making fun of me!! I am not Gonna talk to them, I thought .

Tak Tak!
Someone knocked my room door.
I opened it and saw my mom making sorry face!
'what? Atleast let me sleep peacefully',i said and fell on my bed turning my back towards her and closed the blanket.
My mom sat on my bed ,I could sense that.
She removed my blanket .
'i am sorry ,tell me where you want to go?',she asked.
I got up in a reflex with a smiling face.
'really?, Can I go?',i asked.
'yeah, tell me with whom and where?',my mom asked.
'i am going to ooty with sheethal, Kuldeep and rahul',i said.
'Okay, I will give money tomorrow morning,take care my dear,goodnight', she said.
'Good night mom,thank u so much',i said.

I texted to Rahul like this.
Me: mom agreed! Get ready to pick me up,but at what time?
Rahul: Morning 9:30,if I come to your home,your mom will ask me to have breakfast,so come to the cirlce near your home.
Me:okay!!!! Done(thumbs up emojis) goodnight.
Rahul: Goodnight.

I couldn't sleep as I was very much eager to go with my friends, Okay!! okay!! especially Rahul.

I woke up before the alarm makes me go crazy!
I was ready by 9:15 ,Rahul already came and he was waiting in the circle near my house.

As i went near his car, he Started waving his hands to say hai.
I said hai and sat in the car.
Surprise!! Where are my other friends? There are no Kuldeep and sheethal?

'hey,where are they?',i asked.
'They will join us later in the ooty',Rahul said.
'Hmm,okay fine',i said .

I wonder where this sheethal and kuldeep went,they usually don't cancel plans like that,hehhe anyway I like spending time with rahul,its good they didn't join, I thought.
