Something happened that night, because the next morning, I opened my eyes. Immediately, I was caught off guard by the blinding effects of the sun. I covered my eyes with my hand, and sat up.

Somehow I had washed up back onto the shore. My red hair had been soaked and was spread out around my head. I sighed. Now I had to take thirty minutes to get the sand out of my hair. Slowly and shakily, I stood up and started to walk towards my car, which I had left there while I sat at the shore.

Driving home was smooth, and had little trouble. I spent most of the time thinking of what happened last night. What happened? What was that light? How did I survive that? Maybe if I got my sister's help, we could figure it out.

When I got there, I turned the key and unlocked the door. As soon as I walked in, I heard my sister's voice.

"Hello?" She walked towards the door, and her jaw dropped when she saw me. She ran towards me and almost crushed me in a hug. "Where were you? Why didn't you call me?" I broke off from the hug and tilted my head.

"What are you talking about? I went to the beach last night." Natasha shook her head.

"No, Nixie, you went to the beach last Monday." I stepped back. I could have sworn I went there yesterday.

"W-What day is it?" Natasha looked at me.

"It's the tenth." My eyes widened. It was the fifth when I left. This could not be possible. Nat sighed. "We probably should go check to see if anything happened to you. Tony will probably know something." I nodded. If there was something wrong with me, Tony Stark could definitely figure it out.

"Oh-okay." She grabbed her bag, and opened the door.
