The next day, I sat in the gym with Dani. We had to watch a video of the fitness challenge before actually completing it. I had to prop my head on my hand to keep myself from falling asleep. Dani softly chuckled. "Honestly, we've been using the same video for three years. Can't they find something new to work with." I let out a chuckle.

The video stopped, and the gym teacher sighed. "Thank you Captain. Pretty sure this guy's a war criminal now, but I have to show these videos. It's required by the state." He blew into his whistle. "Let's do it."

The first station that we were on was the push-ups. I folded my arms. "Alright, Dani. You go first." Lily shook her head. "Nope. I went first last time, remember?" I sighed, and started doing the push-ups. "I'm so not ready for the test next period." Dani nodded.

"Yeah, but you've got other things to worry about too. I'm sure this test isn't far up on your list." I shook my head. "No, it's pretty far up there." Dani shrugged, and lowered her voice. "Right above that ATM robbery last night." I stopped doing push-ups. I forgot for a second that that was all over the news. "Nope, just the test." She rolled her eyes. "You're hopeless, Nixie Romanoff."

All of a sudden, we heard Ned's voice yell, "Peter knows Spiderman." I averted my gaze to Ned and Peter. Surely that couldn't be true. Peter got up. I could tell he was getting all flustered. Right in front of me, as if on cue, Flash jumped down from the rope. Ned shrugged. "They're friends." Flash chuckled. "Yeah, like Coach Wilson and Captain America are friends." I rolled my eyes. Flash was always getting on Peter's case about Peter's Stark Internship. Peter sighed. "I've met him, yeah, a couple times. But it's through the Stark internship." I looked at Dani, whose eyes were as wide as the gym. "Wow." She whispered. "Flash's really going at him now, huh?" I nodded. "Yeah. I just want to slap that smug grin off his face." Dani narrowed her eyes.

Later that night, at the party, I stood right by the pizza, grabbing a slice. The house was crowded with teenagers, which I did not like. I have never liked crowded spaces, and this was no exception. The smell of sweat filled the air like a cloud. I took a bite of the pizza, hoping that it would drown out the smell.

Dani walked over, holding a red solo cup. She stumbled, but made sure none of the liquid splashed out of the cup. I quickly grabbed the cup from her and placed it down. "No more drinks for you, Danielle. You're clearly drunk." Dani shook her head, her brown hair flying in her face. "I'm not drunk, I've just had three glasses." I rolled my eyes. She was never one to take alcohol well.

I heard the door open, and I quickly turned my head to see Peter Parker and Ned Leeds walk in. Peter seemed awfully uncomfortable, like he was nervous about something.

I turned my attention back to see Dani was giggling. I sighed, and sat her down in a chair. All of a sudden, I heard voices behind me. "Wow, looks like someone cannot take alcohol well." Slowly, I turned around to see Violet with her hands on her hips. "It's like she's never been to a party before. Oh wait, she hasn't." She snickered.

I looked from Violet to Dani, and then noticed something. Violet was standing next to a container of water. I subtly extended my hand towards her feet, and shot out water. She slipped, and her phone went flying near the water. With another move of my hand, the water in the container reached up and grabbed the phone. The phone started to malfunction and shut off. Violet's eyes widened, and I chuckled softly.

She panicked, and quickly grabbed her phone. "NO!" She tried to rub the water off, but the damage had been done. She looked up at me, rage in her eyes. I thought she was going to say something, but instead, she huffed and walked away. I turned back to Dani, who was just sitting there, her eyes wide. "That was awesome." I smiled, and helped her up. "Alright, let's get you home." She pouted, but complied.
