We got to Prague, and it was definitely an upgrade. Instead of the crappy hotel we stayed in in Venice, this was a fancy hotel, with a piano player in the lobby. Dani grabbed my arm in excitement.
"This is so cool." Behind us, I could hear Mr. Harrington.
"What can I say, the squeaky wheel gets the upgrade grease. Everyone get settled in, rest up because tonight, big surprise, is Prague's annual Carnival of Lights." Peter's phone started buzzing, and he walked away from the group to answer it.
After he hung up the phone, he motioned for me to come over.
"We gotta go." I nodded and followed him out the door.
"Parker? Parker!" Fury called out to Peter, who seemed to be lost in thought. He snapped back to the conversation.
"Yes, sir?" Fury sighed.
"That thing is going to be here in a few hours. Are we boring you?" Peter shook his head, and Beck answered for him.
"He's not bored, he's thinking about how you kidnapped him." Fury looked at Beck.
"He had obstacles. I removed them." Hill turned around, her hands on her hips.
"They still won't evacuate the city." Fury shook his head.
"Idiots." He looked at Peter. "So what's the plan, Parker?"
"Nixie and I will be in the cathedral tower, keeping watch for the fire monster. When that shows up, we will radio you guys, and then Mr. Beck and I will-"
"My name is Mysterio." Beck interrupted and Peter chuckled.
"That's when Mysterio and I will move in." Beck nodded.
"Listen to me. The best hope you have, the only hope, is to stop it now, no matter what the cost. Maneuver its away from civilians if you can, but most important, keep it away from metal. If it gets too big, it'll be able to draw power from the Earth's core." He looked at me. "And then your powers will be useless on it." My eyes widened. Peter sighed.
"Hey, our friends are here. And I can't help but think we're putting them in danger." Fury stood up.
"You're worried about us hurting your friends? You, who called a drone strike on your own school tour bus? Stark gave you a multi-billion dollar AR tactical intelligence system, and the first thing you do with it is try and bow up your friends. It's clear to me that you were not ready for this." I looked over at Peter sympathetically.
