The next day, at school, I was grabbing a book out of my locker when I saw Peter and Ned walking out of the principal's office. Slowly, I closed my locker, and turned to face them. As they passed, Peter and I made eye contact, and he stopped walking. "Hey." I smiled. "Hey Peter." Ned folded his arms. "I'm confused. What is happening?" I softly chuckled and looked at Peter. Peter turned from me to Ned. "She knows I'm Spiderman." Ned's eyes widened. "You told her? Does this mean I can tell people?" We shook our heads in unison. "She only knows because she's Waterfall." It took a second for Ned to realize what we were talking about.

I turned my attention to Peter. "So, why were you in the office?" Peter sighed. "I left detention yesterday to go on the ferry." I nodded. "Right."

As the week went on, I would look out the window for any sign of Peter, but nothing. Some days I would just sit on the roof and watch the sky.

The day of Homecoming, I was getting ready with Dani. She was going to Homecoming with Ned, and I was going by myself. I was sitting on my desk chair while she was brushing her hair. "I'm so excited for tonight. This is going to be so fun." I nodded, scrolling through my phone. "Uh, huh."

She walked over to me and grabbed my phone out of my hands. "Okay, I'm cutting you off now. Homecoming's in two hours. You are not going to touch your phone until it's over." I folded my arms, mockingly. She was right, but I couldn't be out of touch. I had to know what was going on. Still, she was right.

Later, in the car, Dani and Ned were talking, and I was driving. "I still can't believe Peter's going with Liz." My eyes widened. "Wait, he got a date with Liz?" Ned nodded. "Yeah, I know." I kept my eyes on the road.

When we got there, I stopped the car in front of the door. "You guys go ahead. I'll park the car." Dani tilted her head. "You sure?" I nodded. "Yeah, I'll be in in a second." They got out of the car, and I parked the car.

Inside, the music was blaring. I walked over to where Ned, Dani, and Michelle were all dancing. "Oh good, you made it." I chuckled.

As the dance went on, Liz walked in. I looked around for Peter, but I couldn't find him. "Hey Liz." Liz looked behind her. "My dad's talking to Peter, and I'm kind of worried about what he's going to say."

After a while, Peter walked in, completely mortified. Liz smiled. "What'd he say to you." Peter gulped. "You don't deserve this. I'm sorry." He then turned around and fled the gym. I walked over to Liz. "I'll go get him."

Outside the gym, I looked up and down the hallway until I saw someone lifting up the lockers. Breaking into a sprint, I ran down the hallway to catch up to him. "Peter, where are you going?" He stopped in his tracks, and turned to face me. "The vulture is Liz's dad." My eyes widened.

"Really?" Peter looked out of breath. "He's going to hit something, but I can't figure out what." He quickly put on some makeshift suit, which was a onesie with goggles. I chuckled, and he looked at me. "What?" I shook my head. "That suit..." He rolled his eyes, and I waved my hands. A wave of water splashed on me, and instead of wearing the homecoming dress, I was in my suit. "Let's go."
