(Tucker is about 5 ½ Months Old)

The next day, Jake and Megan arrived back in Houston around 3:00 in the afternoon. Their uber got to Megan's parents' house at 3:30 and immediately, they were greeted by all of the dogs including Tucker who let out happy yips and wagged his tail very fast as he jumped all over Jake having not seen him for two weeks. Jake picked up Tucker up and he licked his face making him laugh.

Megan looked up to see Sami walked towards her. She smiled as the mare made her way up to her. Megan rubbed the side of her head. It made her feel better that Sami was beginning to show signs of having better days and defying the vet saying that her arthritis was getting bad.

Megan and Jake settled into her bedroom because they had barely slept during the flight and they just needed to relax. Jake was lying with his head on Megan's shoulder as they watched TV in her bedroom. Jake looked up at Megan making her look at him.

"Thank you." Jake said.

"For what?" Megan replied as Jake crawled up toward the top of the bed so he was face to face with Megan.

"For putting up with me. You've been here for almost four years, supporting me and keeping me grounded." Megan smiled and leaned forward, kissing Jake. He kissed back and let his hand rest on her cheek. Megan put her arm on Jake's waist and pulled him closer to her. Megan giggled when Jake rolled over, holding himself on his elbows.

"Did you lock my door?" Jake looked back at the door and then hopped out of door. He quickly locked the door and jumped on Megan's door making her laugh.

Megan woke up around 5:00 after a nice two hour nap. She could feel the body heat behind her and felt Jake almost completely wrapped around her with his forehead resting against her back. Megan smiled and untangle herself from his grasp.

Jake mumbled as Megan sat up. She smiled again and looked back at him as he stretched.

"Have a good nap?" Megan asked. Jake smiled with his eyes closed and nodded. He finally opened his eyes. "I'm going to talk to my dad about trying to take the horses back to LA so I'm not stuck here."

"You know I want you to stay as long as you feel you need to. I don't want you to go back to LA just because I want you too."

"I want to. I love it here but I love it in LA too. I can't stay here forever." Jake sat up and rubbed his face. He looked up at Megan and smiled. "Besides, you're not in Texas." He leaned forward and kissed Megan. She kissed him back but pulled away before the kiss could go anywhere. Megan pushed Jake back on the bed and walked out with a smirk.

Megan walked downstairs to the smell of her mom cooking. She heard fast footsteps coming down the stairs and giggled when she felt Jake poke her sides. They walked into the kitchen to find her mom in the kitchen just like she thought.

"Food's done, eat up so we can leave." Lauren said and handed them both plates with spaghetti on it.

"Where are we going?" Jake asked, looking at Megan.

"Demo derby, one of my dad's friends are in it." Megan replied and started to eat.

After the family ate a quick dinner, they all got into the cars. Megan brought Tucker with as well so he wasn't home alone by himself. Jake ended up buying more food for himself and Megan because he was that good of a boyfriend.

"How often does this happen?" Jake asked as they sat down.

"Generally, once a week or so." Megan replied as she adjusted Tucker sat in between her feet. "This part of Houston is a tight knit community. We do a lot of stuff as a community."
