As a couple days had passed, Megan had slowly gained the trust of the new horse. She had also come up with the name Nikita for her since Nikita sounded like a tough, bad ass name and the mare was very shy and nervous.

But things were starting to change for Megan. She noticed Jake starting to flirt with Erika a lot and not in just a friend type of way. It was starting to frustrate Megan but she didn't say anything. Rather than start problems, Megan continued to work with Nikita, bringing Tucker with her leaving him in the cooled shed when it was too hot for him.

As Megan watched Nikita trot around the round pen, Megan's phone started to ring. She let Nikita stop and pulled out her phone to see Christy calling her.

"Hey Chris." Megan answered her phone and walked over to the fence. She let Nikita back in to her pen.

"I got your text, what's going on?" Christy asked.

"I think I'm going to come home for a little while."

"Why, what's wrong?"

"Jake's kind of been flirting with Erika a lot and I can tell that's not just being friendly."

"Have you said something to him?"

"Not yet. He's going to tell me that he is just being nice but it's turning into the Alissa situation all over again."

"You need to talk him, Megan."

"I know. I just want to come home. Filming for the next season won't start for a while."

"How are you going be able to do that if you and Jake are having problems?"

"I don't know, but that won't stand in my way."

"Well, you need to talk to him."

------------------------------------------

Megan got back to the house. When she walked in, she heard Jake call her name. Megan walked into the office.

"Where'd you go?" Jake asked as he turned in his chair.

"Went to work with the horses." Megan Replied.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm not talking about it with everybody else around. If you wanna talk, come upstairs." Jake realized that something had to be serious and walked upstairs. He opened the bedroom door to find Megan sitting on the bed. He closed the door behind him. "I need to go to Texas for a little while."

"Why, what's wrong?" Megan bit her lip.

"The flirting with Erika."

"What's wrong with that? We're friends. Friends flirt sometimes."

"What's wrong with that? Your girlfriend is sitting by you and you flirt with other girls, Jake. It's turning into the Alissa situation all over again and I'm not having that."

"Babe, I promise it's not turning into that again. You know I love you."

"I'm not sure anymore." Jake felt himself starting to get angry again.

"You're not sure if I love you anymore?"

"Jake, you don't see how you look at Erika. I'm not stupid. I just can't handle it anymore."

"So, you're leaving because I'm being a friend?"

"Damn it, Jake." Megan stood up and stood in his face. "I need to go because you don't flirt with somebody when your girlfriend is right there. Yes, friends flirt but when you look at said friend with the same look in your eyes when you look at me, there's more there. I don't know what else to say to you to get through your damn head." Jake didn't say anything. Megan looked at him waiting for a response.

"If that's how you feel." Megan couldn't believe he said that to her.

"You're an asshole." Megan walked away from Jake and he walked out of the room.

----------------------------

Megan packed as much clothes as she could into boxes that she had in storage at the horses. Everybody else in the house was very confused as to why Megan was packing everything into the back of her truck. Jake sat in the office just so he wasn't being asked why Megan was packing everything up.

As Megan pushed Tucker's folded up kennel in the backseat of her truck, Megan saw Chance and Anthony come out.

"What is going on?" Chance asked Megan as she walked around to the driver's side of her truck.

"My boyfriend is an asshole and I don't mean in a funny way." Megan replied as Chance and Anthony walked over to the driver's side. "We need a break and I can't stay here."

"What's going on with you two?" Megan let out a soft breath.

"Ask Jake. Look, I'll text you guys later. I just need to go home for a little while."

"Okay, just please don't let this break you two apart, whatever it is." Megan nodded and bumped fists with the two.

---------------------------

After taking a couple breaks to let Tucker use the bathroom, Megan didn't get home until 7:00. Carl walked out onto the porch when he saw Megan's truck and trailer coming down the drive. He knew she was coming home but didn't know why.

"Are you okay?" Carl asked after Megan put the horses in their pens.

"No, I'm not. I need to sleep." Megan replied as she walked up to the porch. Carl walked in behind Megan and watched as she hurried upstairs with Tucker and JJ following her. Megan walked into her room and fall asleep about ten minutes after lying in bed.

Jake was lying in bed. It was around 4:00 in the morning and couldn't sleep. As soon as Megan left, he regretted what he had said. Jake scrolled through his phone until he found Megan's number. He waited a couple seconds and pressed the green button

In Texas, Megan opened her eyes when she heard her phone ringing. She looked at it to see Jake calling. She groaned but grabbed her phone.

"Hi." Megan answered her phone.

"I know it's 6:00 in the morning in Texas, but I'm sorry about what I said. I'm an asshole." Jake said.

"And you couldn't have said this when I was leaving?"

"I know. I should've stopped you...are we really done?"

"I don't know, Jake. I need some space right now. I can't just get over what you said. I love you, I always will."

"Okay."

"Goodbye, Jake."
