"Brandon, wait up!" yelled Annabel. Annabel pushed the branches out of her way. She saw Brandon's friends talking to him but knew they were saying stuff about her.

"Are you sure she's the one?" Luke asked Brandon. Luke didn't really like Annabel but if Brandon was OK with her then he needed to learn to deal with her.

"Yes I'm sure she's the one," Brandon whispered to all his friends. Brandon moved his head away from his friends once Annabel caught up.

"Hey, what are you guys talking about?" asked Annabel. She wanted to know what they were talking about. She thought that what they were talking about was something bad about her.

"Nothing," replied Brandon. His friends were pissed that Brandon didn't tell her yet. They continued to walk ahead of Brandon and Annabel.

"They don't like me, do they?" asked Annabel. She felt guilty and that she shouldn't be here. She waited for an answer but he didn't know what to say. "That's alright, I thing I'll just go back home," Annabel said has her voice grew sadder. Brandon pulled her arm before she left.

"Can I first show you something?" Brandon asked with a smile. He didn't pull her that hard. Only enough to get her attention. Annabel smiled back and let Brandon take her where he wanted to take her. It took about a half hour before it started to get dark. Annabel wasn't scared of the dark as long as she was with Brandon she felt safe. Brandon brought her to a tree and they sat under the tree.

"What's so special about this spot?" Annabel asked Brandon. Brandon heard her but didn't say anything for a while. He was looking around the forest and then noticed Annabel was waiting for his answer.

"Oh, just  wait," replied Brandon. He looked up at the night sky. Annabel followed him and looked up at the night sky. Her eyes widened when she saw shooting stars. Brandon wasn't really looking at the stars he was more interested at Annabel's eyes lighting up as she watched the stars. Brandon thought to himself. "She's defiantly the one." The shooting stars took about 15 minutes but Annabel was happy Brandon showed her. They were nearing Annabel's house were her father was waiting for her.

"That was amazing, I've never really seen shooting stars before," giggled Annabel. The whole walk home Annabel could not stop laughing or giggling. Brandon was trying to get Annabel to hold his hand or at least put his arm around her. Annabel didn't really want him to she stayed behind him for the walk home. As they approached Annabel's house she felt sad and happy. She was sad because she had to leave Brandon and felt sorry that she didn't hold his hand even though she knew he wanted her to. She was happy to be out of the forest, the forest scared her when night hit.

"See you tomorrow?" Brandon asked Annabel. Through Annabel's ears he didn't really sound happy. She turned around while she was still biting her lips.

"Actually I can't, I promised my dad I would spend some time with him, he wants to take me camping farther into the woods," explained Annabel. Annabel didn't really like the idea of going camping in the woods during night.

"Oh, then I'll see you when you get back," Brandon told Annabel. He was disappointed that he wasn't going to see Annabel.

"Bye," she whispered. She waved good bye and them headed for her house. Her father wasn't really worried about her as long as she was with her friends. Brandon headed back into the forest and met with his friends. Then they decided to go camping in the forest.

"Hi daddy," smiled Annabel. She walked in the house and kissed her father on the cheek. Her dad was just sitting on the couch watching TV and waiting for Annabel to come home.

"Hey pumpkin. Do you have all your stiff packed for tomorrow morning?" wondered her father. She replied with a sweet smile.

"Yea I have everything ready," replied Annabel. Her father came up to her and hugged her. Annabel headed upstairs to her room. She kept thinking of what Brandon was trying to do and what ever happened to his friends. Her father eventually fell asleep on the couch.
