Chapter 24

Annabel's P.O.V.

I sent everyone to go looking for Annette. I wonder what happened that made her run away. I know she would never run away unless it was for a good reason.

We need to find her before she gets hurt. Me and Brandon have had many enemies over the years and I hope they don't go after Annette.

When Brian and Zander got home I asked them, "What happened? Where did Annette go?" They both stood there silent for a while.

"Brian was trying to help Annette remember that he was her mate and well Annette kind of rejected him and took off," Zander explained. I don't know what Brian could have done to make her want to run away but we need to get my baby girl back.

"She only rejected me because she doesn't like it when she has that feeling around me. She only has that feeling because I'm her mate. Now can we please go look for her?" Brian pleaded.

Oh! That feeling is very special and since Annette can't remember anything she can't stand that feeling. Only wolves get it when they find there mates. They start to feel happy and all that other good stuff. I can't even really describe that feeling but wolves love that feeling. It also lets them know when they have found their mates.

"We need to search the whole forest for Annette, that girl could be anywhere by now," I ordered. Then Zander howled and all the wolves in our pack rushed into different directions of the forest.

Annette's P.O.V.

I was running in the forest, I felt so alive. I stopped, that's when I heard something move in the bush. Then a man popped out of the bush.

"Why hello Annette, you've grown from the last time I've seen you," the man said. What? What is this guy talking about.

"Who are you?" my voice was weak and scared. I did show fear and this man used my own fear against me.

"You should remember who I am. It was because of you I became a wizard. Oh wait, you can't remember since the accident," the man babbled on. Great! Now I really wish I remembered the memory I lost.

The man started moving towards me while I started stepping back until my hand hit a tree. When my hand touched the tree I felt something. I couldn't explain what it was.

Then something flashed threw my head. It was Annabel and Brandon, they were holding two children in there hands. One was wrapped in a blue blanket while the other was wrapped in a pink. Then the doctor took the children out of the room and went outside. Jason did something to the baby that was wrapped in a pink blanket and all of a sudden she stopped breathing.

When the doctor took the babies back up everyone was crying when they saw that the girl wasn't moving or breathing. Then the doctor took her back outside and handed her to Jason while Annabel and Brandon held the baby boy tightly and yet softly in their arms.

I took my hand away from the tree and realized that the man standing in front of me was the doctor from what I just saw.

"What happened that night, what did Jason do to that baby girl and what happened to her?" I asked the doctor.

"I don't know how you could remember that many years ago but you might as well know that you were the baby. Jason took you away from your family," the doctor said. But why would Jason do that? Jason has been lying to me for nine years and what ever happened to the rest of those years, and I never had the guts to leave him.

"Why are you telling me this?" I asked the man. Then a smirk appeared on his face.

"Jason said if anything was to happen to him that I would fill his position. Jason is a very good friend of mine and I'm just as evil as he was," the man said. Oh great! This is not turning out like anything I could ever plan.
