Chapter 9

"Hello, do you know someone named Annabel?" asked Gwen. Annabel recognized the voice and went to the door to open it.

"Annabel stop!" yelled Jen. When Annabel opened the door a crack she saw Gwen. She was relieved it wasn't Richard and then she closed the door so she could take all the locks off. When she opened the door all the way she saw it was Annabel.

"Annabel!" surprised Gwen. Gwen jumped on Annabel and squeezed her as if she was her older sister. Jen slowly got up to see who was at the door.

"Annabel, who is she?" her aunt asked Annabel slowly. Annabel quickly turned to her aunt then let Gwen in. She quickly locked the door again and then looked out the window.

"Aunt Jen, this is Gwen, she's the youngest from Brandon's pack," explained Annabel. Jen slowly sat down thinking Annabel was crazy. With all the proof she saw Jen had to believe Annabel. Gwen looked harmless considering she always had a smile on her face. Annabel then bent down to listen to what Gwen had to say.

"Brandon is worried sick, he's trying to talk himself into thinking that your aunt is making the right decision. The rest of the pack has been looking everywhere for you. Some thought you were taken by Richard and his pack. I traced you with your scent and I stumbled upon this building and now I have found you. Everyone heard that Richard is now looking for you," Gwen whispered into Annabel's ear. When Gwen was all done Annabel's face lite up. She turned to her aunt looking frightened.

"We need to go, now," Annabel rushed her aunt. She grabbed her aunt's arm then ran for the door. There was another knock at the door. Annabel tip toed quietly to the door and looked through the peep hole. Gwen and Jen watched as she opened her mouth and then ran for the window. Gwen looked through and saw Richard. She quickly grabbed Jen's hand and ran to the door with Annabel.

"The window won't open!" Annabel whispered as she started freaking out. Then Annabel grabbed her aunt's lamp and broke the glass. Annabel let Jen go first then Gwen. "Hurry!" Annabel said in a whisper. As Annabel was on the other side of the window she was able to look back in and saw Richard break the door down. He looked straight at her and was starting to freak her out.

"You can't run forever Annabel," Richard was still smiling at her when he said it. Then Annabel grabbed her aunt and Gwen and Annabel jump off the railing and onto the ground. Annabel and Gwen didn't feel anything when the hit the ground because they were werewolves.

"Hurry we need to reach the cave, Brandon is sitting there. Hopefully we can find someone from our pack on our way," Gwen told Annabel. Annabel and Gwen were able to stay humans but run as fast as wolves. Annabel was still carrying Jen in her arms. Then all of a sudden Annabel stopped and went on her knees. She heard something in the bush and so did Gwen. Annabel placed her aunt on the ground.

"Stay here with Gwen, she will protect you," Annabel told her aunt then took off. She jumped in the bush and found Rocky. "Rocky!" surprised Annabel. Rocky was happy to see Annabel but at the same time something was troubling her. "Rocky, what's wrong, it's only me, Annabel," Annabel calmly told Rocky in her sweetest voice. Rocky couldn't calm down for some unknown reason.

"He's kidnapping the pack. He'll only let them go in exchange for you," Rocky was shaking when she was talking. Annabel grabbed Rocky's hand and brought her over to the bush Gwen and Jen were hiding in. They were shock when they saw how scared she was and how much she was shaking. Annabel only had one think on her mind after she heard what Rocky told her. Annabel gently grabbed her arms and in her softest voice she tried to ask her.

"Rocky were is Brandon?" Annabel was trying not to freak out but after Rocky didn't answer Annabel's eyes started to tear up. "Please Rocky, I need to know what happened to him," Annabel begged Rocky to tell her. Rocky tried to look straight into Annabel's eyes but she couldn't bare to tell her.She dropped her head and finally answered her question.
