Annabel's P.O.V.
I woke up and found the room empty. I called to Beth and Bella but they still didn't answer. I got up from the bed and went to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and saw a different person. I didn't scream cause I didn't want Jason running in the room worrying about me. I wanted Brandon but I think I rejected him. How could I reject the only man I loved?
I ran back to the bed, crying. I threw my face onto a pillow and continued to cry until I heard a voice.
"Are you ok Annabel? You don't seem to be acting like yourself," the voice was quiet, soft, and sounded sweet. I would recognized that voice anywhere. I lifted my head up from the pillow and whipped the tears flowing down my cheek.
"I don't know what's wrong with me. But I'm glad to see you hear," I told Gwen. I gave her a smile while trying to hold back the tears. She ran to me and squeezed me, but then she let go remembering I had the babies.
"Something happened and I'm here to help you with it," Gwen told me. I didn't know how to tell her what happened. All I could think about was Brandon's reaction.
"What happened to Brandon?" I asked her. More tears began to fall from my face. When I asked her that she didn't even show me a smile.
"I don't know, but he was pretty disappointed. But in the end he will always love you," I showed Gwen a smile after hearing her say those words. She was definitely a sweet girl. Having her here was bringing me happiness. I needed to figure out what was wrong. Then there was a knock at the door.
"Annabel, are you awake yet?" Jason asked. I turned to the door then back at Gwen.
"Hurry, get back under the bed," I whispered. She dove under the bed as I told Jason, "What do you want?" I could tell he had a grin on his face. Then he just invited himself in. He used his magic to unlock the door.
"To be with my mate," he smiled. He opened his arms thinking I would run to him. For some reason I had a part of me telling me to run to him and the rest was telling me to stay away from him.
"You can't fight it," Jason told me. What was he talking about?
"Can't fight what?" I asked. Then I felt pain in my stomach, only this time I wasn't hungry. It was something else.
"I thought you would have figured it out already. Guess you're not as smart as I thought you were," he kept on smiling. What was he talking about?
"What are you talking about? Where's Beth and Bella?" I demanded. He seemed to be enjoying this.
"My father cast two spells after he woke up from being knocked out. One of the spells made sure Brandon's pack, your aunt and her friends, and you wouldn't be able to talk to your wolves or witches," Jason explained.
"What about the other one?" I asked him. He just continued to smile at me before he answered.
"He casted a love spell on you. You will always love Brandon but the spell made sure you would chose me. I noticed he casted these spells right before I let go of your hair. No one can knock my dad out for that long," Jason explained.
Then Jason her someone sneezed under the bed. Oh no! Gwen! It was to late for me to do anything, Jason already spotted Gwen under the bed. He went under the bed but Gwen ran out the other side. She was cornered but I ran in front of her before Jason could hurt her.
"Annabel, get out of my way," he warned me. I was breathing heavily but I didn't listen to his warning.
"You're going to need to hurt me before you dare lay a finger on Gwen," I warned Jason. Gwen was shaking in fear. There was no way I was going to let Jason hurt Gwen. She was to kind of a girl.
