im putting in one of those warning notes but i dont want to explain what the warning is so yeah

"Hey! Enjoying the party?" I asked a group of people.

"Yeah!" The boy with blonde shaggy hair says.

"This party is great!" A girl adds.

"Thanks for inviting us!" They both said.

"No problem!" I smiled.

I waved at all the people who had fun and they thanked me for inviting them here. I headed straight for the corner, knowing that Calum, Ashton, and Michael would be there.

"Aye Desi!" Calum greets.

"Hey mates!" I smile.

"Thanks for inviting us! This party is the bomb!" Michael smiles.

"You're welcome! I planned this together just to get things off my mind." I shrugged.

"Yeah! We've noticed that you had a rough month." Ashton nods.

"Anyways, how are things with you and Alex?" Michael speaks.

"Pretty good."

"Speaking of Alex," He flicks his hair out of his face and sighs, "where is he?"

I looked back and tried to find him in the crowd because he was handing out the drinks. I finally found him struggling to get through the crowd.

"Here's over there, handing out the drinks." I pointed back.

"Looks like someone's having a hard time." Michael chuckles.

"You should help him." Ashton says.

"Yeah, I will. You guys enjoy the party, I'll be back." I smile, then start to walk away.

"USE PROTECTION!" I hear Michael call.

I look back and flipped him off in which laughter is returned from them. I walk up to stand in front of the crowd and wait for Alex to come out.

Soon enough, he pops out, making the drinks tip over on the tray and spill onto his newly black and white plaid shirt. He stumbles to the kitchen table, tripping on his feet in the process and drops the tray.

I walk up to the counter and sit on a stool, laying my hands on the marble piece. "Having fun?!" I chuckle.

"Absolutely not!" Alex yells. "Shit! I just bought this shirt and it's ruined!"

"Who cares?! You can buy a new shirt later!"

He grabs the tray and places it in the sink - along with the cups - and rinses them off. He looks dramatically out the window as if someone was calling him and I roll my eyes, heading for the fridge to grab a drink.

Just as I closed the fridge, Alex grabbed my arm and pulled me somewhere.

"Where are we going?!"

He looked back and smiled, "To see the view."

Alex led me up a staircase and seconds later, we were on the balcony of the building. One thing that bothered me though is that I could see Luke and Britney from the corner of my eye.

"Did we have to pass by them?" I groan, balancing my drink on the railing.

"It's not my fault that they were hanging out there." He shrugged. "I know seeing them together is hard for you but you got to let him go. Move on from him or something because I know there's someone out here that's better than him for you."

"They say have courage but I'm trying to! Everywhere I go, I see them. Whenever I see Luke smile, it breaks my heart because I used to be the reason for his smile. I, was the one who was there for him ever step of the way. And now? Now, that Britney is his reason behind his smile?" I paused to look up at the moon and swallowed hard, "I don't even know anymore."

"Desi," Alex starts.

I looked at Alex and took in a deep breath, "He promised that he'd come back. I didn't know he would come back with her. He betrayed me, Alex. He fucking betrayed his best friend for fourteen years with someone he met and clicked with in a year. A god damn fucking year. This whole time was a lie. My life is a lie. My childhood is ruined."

"I-."

"I'm done Alex. I'm so fucking done. I'm not even going to try any more," I grabbed my drink from the railing and quickly headed down the stairs, leaving this place.

"Desi!" I hear Alex call, "Desi wait!"

The music became louder and louder as I descended the staircase and I reached the end of it, passing by Luke and Britney... Kissing.

I stopped in the middle of my tracks and backed up, standing in front of the couple with me glaring at Luke, waiting for him.

"Desi!" Alex yelled, stopping at the third step and leaning against the wall to catch his breath.

Luke opened one eye then quickly closed it and I noticed his grip tightening around Britney.

I threw my free hand in the air and scoffed, "Un-fucking-believable! You opened your fucking eye and closed it right that fucking instant and pretended that you didn't see me right here?! Lucas you little shit! I'm so fucking done with you!" I dumped my drink in the middle of their heads, making Luke pull back and leaving Britney surprised.

Britney took a step back and screamed, turning around and glaring at me. "What the fuck did you just do with my boyfriend and I?!"

Anger rose inside of me. "What did I do? What did I do?! I dumped my drink all over him, called him a little shit and guess what I'm going to do to you now in that pretty little white dress of yours?!" I grabbed a random person's beer bottle from the side of me and threw it at her dress. "That's what you get for stealing my best friend!"

Britney gasped and looked down at her now brownish-stained dress. "Shit! This dress cost a lot and you ruined it!"

I threw my hands up in the air and plastered a sarcastic smile on my face. "Look at all the fucks I don't give!"

She slowly looked up at me with her teeth gritted and growled, "You..."

"Me..." I mimicked her tone.

"Okay," Alex says, pushing past Luke and Britney and stepped behind me, leaning in. "I think we'll call it a night." He whispered in my ear, sending chills running throughout my body.

Just then, Alex was pushed back and I looked up, seeing Luke with his jaw and fists clenched, "Stay away from my Desi."

My eyes widened at those five words and I started to feel empty inside.

Alex caught his balance and he fixed his stained plaid shirt and hair and stood up to Luke, "Here are two things mate... One, hands off of me. And two,"

He pauses to pull me in close to his body and wraps his arm around my waist, "She's not your Desi... She's mine."
