Chapter 3

Kevin POV:
One week later I'm on Veronica's bed as she models outfits for her date with Betty. She came out wearing a dark plum dress and heels to match

"you look amazing, V" I gasped and smiled. She smiled and hugged me

"I love you best friend" she said as she kissed my cheek, leaving a plum kiss mark in its place

"love you too" I frown slightly  "you think Joaquin will think I'm mocking him?" I looked at my reflection in her - one of many - full length mirrors

I looked so different in the olive black leather jacket I had dug out from the back of my closet

I was so nerves to go on the triple date, Betty and Ronnie and me and Joaquin

Ronnie hugged me and put on 'Sweater Weather' by the Neighborhood, causing me to smile and sing

me and Ronnie climb into my Dad's truck about half an hour of music and start to make our way to Pop's

we blared 'little talks' on the radio, singing at the top of our lungs with the windows rolled down, we probably woke the whole of Riverdale up, North and South side, but we didn't care

we got to Pop's 5 mins later and walked in. Ronnie grabbed my hand obviously nerves.

my eyes look around the room and spot a familiar face, and one that I didn't want to see. Moose

"great" I mumbled under my breath. Ronnie pulled my towards a table where Betty and Joaquin sat

Joaquin looked my up and down and smirked. 

"Damb preppy" he bit his lip and stood up. He grabbed my cheek and kissed my passionately for a couple of seconds and sat down, pulling me next to him

me and Joaquin decided to get a large double chocolate milkshake and chips between us and the girls got a strawberry milkshake, vanilla milkshake and two burgers

Joaquin put his hand on my thigh, causing my to blush deeply and causing Moose - who had been watching us all night - visually jealous

he walked over to us "hey guys" he looked to the girls then to me and Joaquin

"can we help you Moose?" said Betty, trying to be polite

Moose responded "I'm trying to say hi to my boyfriend" he smiled and looked in our dirction

"Boyfriend?!" our table yelled in shock. Joaquin was visibly mad

"what does he mean boyfriend?" Joaquin clenched his fists, looking hurt

"I swear I don't know" I said and kissed his cheek, looking down at his palms which were now bleeding "I love you and only you" I kissed his palms not caring about the salty taste of the red liquid

"oh, I didn't mean Kevin" Moose said as he kissed Joaquin

My world crashed before my eyes and in anger I lunged at him, knocking him to the floor I started punching him, blood covering his face and my nuckles

Joaquin pulled me off him and carried me outside. "what the hell was that!?" he yelled, pinning me to the side of the building

I felt dizzy "i'm sorry, I just hated him kissing you, it broke my heart" I looked down, wanting to be sick until I felt a pair of soft lips on mine

I here a police sirens and break off from the kiss. A grey haired man stepped out from one of the cars and said "kevin, I'm sorry, but you've got to come down to the staition, you to Joaquin"

I was shocked by what my dad had said, but, with Joaquins help I made it to the car before whispering in ear "I'm sorry baby" and without anouther word i was sick over Joaquin
