Chapter 9

Joaquin POV
We walk into pop's. I look over at Kevin who has Rocky on his back with an 'are you sure about this?' look. He simply nods and walks to an empty booth, me following him

He sets Rocky down on one of the seats and sits next to him. I get a child menu and a packet of crayons for Rocky and watch him and Kevin as they start to draw something on the back

Kevin keeps looking up at me with a slight focused look on his face and then turns back to the paper

About 5 minutes later, the bell chimes, my eyes move to the door in curiosity and see that it was some footballers and cheerleaders from Riverdale high including Archie, Cheryl, Betty, Veronica and the boy who had kissed me the last time I was here. Moose I think his name was

"Oh god, no" I heard Kevin whisper. He obviously had seen my gaze and looked in the same direction

They started to walk towards us. It was unclear of they had seen us or the choice of empty booths behind us

"Hey Kev" said Betty. The other footballers and cheerleaders had gone to get seats and Betty, Veronica, Cheryl and Moose stood in front of us

"You can stay on the condition that Moose leaves" Kevin have spat at them

"I'm here to say sorry, to you and your boyfriend" said Moose. He turned and left

Betty sighed "how are you?" Her eyes drifted next to Kevin "who's this?" She said with a smile from ear to ear

Kevin opened his mouth but Rocky beat him to

"I'm Rocky, are you Betty?" He said with a smile, equal to Betty's who nodded. He looked at Cheryl and Veronica "are you two Veronica and Cheryl?"

They nodded "dada Kevin misses you" Rocky said, looking at Kevin

"We miss Kevin as well" said Veronica with a small smile

"Girls, come on" yelled Archie, signalling them to him.

"Call you later Kev" said Veronica, kissing him on head and walked to the others, Betty and Cheryl following her after also kissing his head

"So what have my baby boys been drawing" I said as I reached over the table to the menu

I see Rocky had drawn a dinosaur on one side on the paper and Kevin had drawn me

I smiled wide

We were there for the next 20 minutes, eating fries and drinking out milkshakes. I payer after having a small argument with Kevin about who was going to pay

"I'll pay you back" he said looking at me as we left

"Don't you dare" I say as I picked up the menu that bared their drawings. Kevin picked up Rocky and let him sleep on his shoulder, holding him with one hand his other one around my waist
