Chapter 12

Kevin POV
Chatter echoed around the canteen. News of a new boy, Tyed Carter, had spread like wildfire

I don't know that much if I'm honest, everything I've been told about him had been pushed out of my memory

Today was the day he started, he was in the principles office for the first two periods and joining everyone else at lunch. The doors swung open and the room fell into silence. Tyde was here

I turned my neck to see him. His jaw was a perfect V, he had dark brown hair and silver eyes. He was tall and handsome but, I didn't really care

"Where's Keller?" He said and everyone's eyes darted to me. I sat in slight fear as he walked up to me

He grabbed me by the collar and dragged me to the empty halls.
"You know gay isn't right" he said as he punched me in the stomach

He then proceeded to punch me in the nose and left eye. He punch my jaw and kicked my shin. He pushes me to the floor and started kicking my side

"Get off him!" a familiar voice bounced from one wall to another, creating an echo. It was the voice of Joaquin

"Or what Desantos" Tyed said with a smug voice
"Or this" said Joaquin as he punched Tyde square in the jaw. He then kneed him in the stomach, making him fall to the floor

Joaquin held his hand out to me and kissed me when I stood, rubbing my side gently. He carried me to the principles office and signed some papers

"Your starting back at Riverdale high tomorrow" he said when we got to the car
"What? Why?" I said in slight shock

"Because the Carter family are very homophobic people and they are known to have killed many gay people in the past. I don't want another called Kevin Keller to the list" he said, and started driving back to his trailer

(Next day)

Kevin POV
I put on my clothes, every part of my body aching

"I'll drop you to school" said Joaquin, kissing my head and he was also getting ready "I'll drop Rocky off on the way"

"Okay babe" I said, kissing his cheek. I get Rocky ready once I am done and we set off to the north side

Today, instead of my leather jacket and tight jeans, I was wearing my purple sweater with a collard shirt and baggy-ish blue jeans

20 minuets later, we get to Riverdale high and I kiss Joaquin before leaving the car. We say our goodbyes and I walk into the building, hoping to see my friends

Cheryl walked up to my and threaded her arm around mine

"Come to mine at 7pm sharp to help Betty, Veronica and I pick out outfits for my party. Your invited too, of course and bring Joaquin" she said with a smile, taking me to my other friend

"Kevin!" Said Betty and Veronica with excitement, hugging me
"Welcome back" said Betty

"I saw you guys like two days ago, you can't have missed me that much" I smile

"It just hasn't been the same without you" said Ronnie, also smiling. She pulled me to one of the couches and started talking about his we need to go shopping on Sunday

School went by to quickly, I day goodbye to my friends and get in Joaquin's car

I tell him all about Cheryl's party and, since Rocky's up his friends house, we can go

Joaquin POV
After two hours of Kevin helping the girls pick out clothes, Veronica doing their makeup and me painting their nails, we are ready for the party

We set up quickly and guest start to flood into Cheryl's new house, since she burnt down the last

I have a feeling something's gonna go wrong, I don't know what or why I can just feel it

I get snapped out of my thoughts as Kevin pulls me to the dance floor and our song - Sweater Weather - comes on

We dance for about 20 minutes until I go to get us some drinks while Kevin dances with the girls to 'Bubblegum bitch' by Marina and the diamonds

As I'm getting a cup of lemonade and a cup of beer I feel a figure behind me. I turn around to see Moose standing there

"Hey handsome" he says with a smirk plastered on his face, him leaning close to me

"Get away from me" I say, slightly angry. I try to move away but he just blocks me

"Why would I wanna leave?" He places his lips on mine. This is the bad thing I thought was going to happen

I kick him where it hurts and go to Kevin with our drinks

"Moose just kissed me" I say to him, pulling him away from the dance floor and into an empty room
"Ugh, I hate him" said Kevin in response, taking a sip of his drink and putting it on a dresser

"But" smiled Kevin, biting his lip and looking at the bed "let's not think of him right now"

He pushed me to the bed and took his shirt off. God, I'm so happy the words have disappeared
