"Alexia hurry up and wash those dishes!" My mother called as I saw the school bus coming down the street.

"Mom I'm going to miss the bus again."

"Well then do the dishes fast!" The bus stopped two houses down from mine as I ran over to the sink and scrubbed the plates quickly, leaving two in the in the soapy water.

I ran out the door without a good bye from my parents and lined up at the school bus door.

My next door neighbour slowly got on before me as I saw Blair with a empty seat beside her. "Ready for the last day of school ever!" Blair happily exclaimed.

"I'm ready for the last exam." Mia sat down behind us. Blair and I rolled our eyes laughing. Mia was one of the 'nerdy' girls in our grade, with only one B ever on her report cards and the rest A's.

"Well I'm kinda sad that we won't see each other much anymore." We all looked at each other with a frown. "What are you doing after school?" I created more of a happy mood.

"I might go to Starbucks. You going to come?"

"Yeah probably."

As we stopped at Emily's bus stop only four people got on. "Where's Emily?"

"Probably with her boyfriend." Blair rolled her eyes again. Blair was a bit of a tomboy who always wore army pattern outfits and a cap. She got bullied by a bunch of preppy girls in sixth grade for it.

Once we finally got to the prison we call 'school' we waited at the front for Emily.

"She's not coming." Blair said rocking on her feet with her hands in her pockets.

At that moment we then saw Max driving slowly through the car park. He had a shiny red mustang and always pumped the music. He was quite a popular guy and was best on the football team. As Max got out of the car swinging his keys around his finger, everyone around cheered as he threw his fist in the air and yelled, "LAST DAY!"

Emily got out of the mustang and ran over to us smiling and laughing. "Who's ready for the last day of high school!" Emily was a fun and bubbly girl who had nice long black hair and a great sense of style. She got with Max two months ago and since then she's always been ditching us for him.

"You want to come to Starbucks this arvo?"

"Oh, I might be going to the park with Max this afternoon..." she expectedly replied.

The first period bell rang. We walked to class for our last exam. The hallways were packed full of people jumping around and having a good last day.

"Alright class your exams are on your desk. Please settle down..." The boys at the back continued punching each other and laughing, "BOYS!" Mrs Turner yelled loud enough for the next three classes to hear. "As I was saying once you are ready you may open your exam and start."
