I arrived home from my house exploring and with two missed calls from Emily. I put down my black and gold bag and rang her back. "Hey Em, what's up?"
"Hey Alexia, so tomorrow Blair and I are going shopping, you want to come?"
"Yeah sure, is Mia coming?"
"No she is going somewhere with her dad I think..."
"Alright, so do you want me to pick yous up?"
"No Blair already offered. I'll tell her that your coming, is ten a good pick up time."
"Perfect."
I ran upstairs and to put my phone on charge as my Mom called out to me, "Alexia!"
"Coming." I miserably hauled myself back downstairs.
"Can you fold those clothes in that basket like I asked you this morning!" Mom demanded.
"You didn't even ask me, but ok." I rolled my eyes into the back of my head.
"Just do it."
"Hey so tomorrow I'm going shopping with my friends, that cool?"
"I thought I said no more going out with friends?"
"Yeah but Mom I'm almost an adult now and I don't need my parents to tell me what I can and cannot do. Plus, don't you think I deserve it, after all the things I do around the house."
"What do you even do?..." I was disappointed knowing that Mom didn't even acknowledge all the house work I do for her and dad.
"Well I do all the dishes, fold the clothes, vacum, make dinner most the time. And all you do is sit and watch TV all day."
Mom paused for a slight second, "I don't even care whether you go or not..." she said knowing that I was right.
The next morning I put on the trendiest clothes in my cupboard and my impatience grew and grew as I waited outside for Blair and Emily.
"I'm gonna park a little down from the mall, so we have a bit of a walk." Blair said slowly strolling her car down the street while finding a park.
"Oh really!"
"Yes Emily, it couldn't hurt you doing a bit of exercise for once." Emily looked down at her slightly horizontally challenged stomach after what Blair said.
As we headed up the street a crowd emerged and huddled around one person. "Who is that?" I squinted in the crowds direction.
"Oh my god that's Cole Sprouse!" Emily freaked.
"Cole Sprouse?" I asked.
"He's from that TV we watched as a kid..."
"The one with the twin brother." Blair tried getting my memory running.
Blair and Emily ran over, joining the crowd that were throwing phones and pens in the air. As I walked over I started to clearly see Cole. At that moment I realised he was the familiar, porch guy. I lit up inside and stared at his mixed blue and green eyes. The crowd began to die down, Blair and Emily finally got their selfie they were waiting for.
I caught up with them and took my phone out for a selfie too...because why not? As I held my phone up on selfie camera Cole and I had a short, natural, romantic staring contest. My hand dropped and I turned around and walked back to Emily and Blair. Cole watched me walk into the distance. Blair and Emily hadn't noticed the moment as they were too busy raving on about their picture with Cole.
We walked passed all of the cosmetic shops and into one of the first clothing shops. After spending ten minutes in there Blair called out, "Hey me and Em are going to going next door!"
"I'll catch up soon, just give me two more minutes."
I looked through the tags on the clothing items and the prices practically screamed 'you can't afford this'. As I was pulling a shirt out of the rack I felt someone tap me on the shoulder. "Doing you think this would look go-" I realised I wasn't talking to Blair or Emily.
"You could pull it off..."
"Aha-hi..." you could cut the awkwardness between us with a knife.
"Yeah um do you remember me...from the other day?"
"Yeah I remember you, I also remember you from a couple of my childhood movies. You should've told me you were the Cole Sprouse, I was up all night trying to figure out your familiar face."
"Well I may have came of kinda braggy." There was an awkward silence between us. "Um so we like only met yesterday, but I was wondering if you wanted to go skating with me sometime?"
I laughed at the fact that someone like him went skating. "That would be...pretty cool."
He took my phone out of my hands and added himself in my contacts. "Saturday, eleven o'clock?"
"It's a date..." I felt as though it was a risky thing to say back. His polished, white teeth blinded me as smiled and left the store.
