I walked out of Cole's bedroom and into the bathroom. I splashed water on my face and looked up into the mirror. "Oh my god!" I cried seeing a figure in the mirror.
"Sorry.."
"Cole! Don't do that."
"Dylan..."
"What? Where's your bruise?"
"Disappeared overnight?"
I nodded for an awkward few seconds.
"Um I'm gonna go get a drink..." Dylan broke the silence.
"I'll call out when I'm done."
I giggled to myself and continued my morning refreshment. I went back to Cole's room to see him sitting on the edge of his bed just waking up. "Morning." I crawled across the bed to the other side. I joined my lips with Cole's and ran my hands through his shirt blonde hair. He got up and threw a shirt over his head.
"Want to stay home today?"
"Yeah we've got that baseball game tonight, I don't want to be too exhausted before that," I said in a yawn.
That afternoon Cole and I were getting ready for the baseball game. We were interrupted by a knock on the door. "Yes." I opened up.
"Are you all nearly ready?" Malenie was standing infront of me all dressed up in blue.
"Yes we are." Cole came up and put his arm around me.
"We've got small glasses of champagne waiting outside..."
"Let's go!" Cole pushed me out of the way and ran for the kitchen.
Malenie laughed as we walked down the hallway into the kitchen.
"To Cole finally getting a girlfriend..." Dylan made a toast. Our squeaky clean glasses all chimed as they touched.
Quickly rinsing all the glasses, I put my arm around Cole, "Ready to go?"
"Alexia?"
"What?" I said with confusion.
"That's not Cole..."
I let go with embarrassment.
"It's happens to all his girlfriends." Dylan was almost dying of laughter.
My face went as red as a tomato and I smiled with embarrassment.
After flicking off the lights in the house, Cole raced to the front passengers seat like a child and Malenie sat in the drivers seat. Cole and Melanie were filling each other in on their amazing lives the whole way to the stadium, leaving me and Dylan to make conversation between ourselves. "So you live around here?" Dylan turned to me.
"Yes I live about ten minutes away from Cole."
"And your staying at Cole's house for a while?"
"Yeah..." I said in a voice that let him know I didn't want to explain why. "How long until you leave here?"
"As long as Cole lets us stay."
"Did you fly here?"
"No it was a seven hour drive."
"Oh wow, that's a while." The comfort between us got better and better.
"Cole told me a lot about you. You seem like a good person." Dylan gave me a look that any girl would fall for. He turned and looked out at the sky through his window. I gave a small smirked to myself.
Once we arrived to the stadium we tried getting a good front row seat, but with the stadium nearly full it was impossible for us to all sit together. Dylan and Melanie were split up from Cole and I in the loud, pushy crowd. Once the game started Cole, thinking he was the best of all baseball fans, quickly explained to me how the game worked. "The guy in the middle hits the ball and the goal is to aim at one person that hasn't been hit yet and if they catch it he gets to run all the way home, that's what I know about baseball..."
A lady came around shouting and holding a big blue tray of hot dogs! Cole offered to buy me one, I didn't refuse. It was the best time bonding and getting to know each other more and more, until it was ruined by the fun police Melanie, "we better go before the crowd beats us..."
After our fight with crowd we finally ended up outside and decided we would to go a small crowded bar down the road...
