Chapter 16: Alexia's POV

1 month later...

I had noticed Cole was going out a lot in the past week or so and looking too happy when he walked back through the doors of the house. The last time I had seen him this happy was when we first started dating, even though his anger issues had gotten better this still seemed wierd.

"I'll see you later." Cole began to open the door and leave.

"Wait where are you going?"

"Out." Not worrying to much about how Cole left the house, I scrolled through the Netflix app as thoughts rolled around in my head. My feelings for Cole had grown stronger and I was hoping Cole was beginning to feel the same way. As I watched Netflix I took out my MacBook and scrolled through restaurants that were only down town. I came across one that would only be a 15 minute walk and had a look on the menu.

It had been almost two hours and I was expecting Cole to come home at anytime now. Wanting to be ready I walked into the room and picked out a short, tight, black skirt and a nude coloured top. I heard the door open and got excited to ask Cole out, but I heard an unfamiliar laugh in the living room. Confused on this peticular voice I walked down the hallway, only to see Cole with his arm around a gorgeous, blonde haired girl. "Cole?"

"Alexia! I wanted you to meet my girlfriend Nicole."

Girlfriend? I felt jealousy fill up my body as I held out my hand with a fake but believable smile, "hi, Alexia..."

"Nicole," she had a voice of an angel, soft and comforting, and her laugh the same. Everything about her was flawless, her skin, her hair, her eyes, her teeth, everything.

"Nicole and I going are going to go out for dinner tonight, wanna come Alexia?" Surprised by Cole's request, I declined his offer.

"Aw come on Alexia, it'll be fun," you couldn't say no to her soothing voice.

"Well I do know this restaurant down the stre-"

"Oh no we're going to a club, there's a party there, we'll have to catch a taxi though..." Cole interrupted me while gazing into Nicole's eyes.

I stormed into my room doing my makeup and getting dress in anger, I really thought me and Cole were getting closer...I walked out of my room fully dressed and ready to go. "Wow you look stunning!" Nicole's compliment made me feel a little bit better about myself, but I still didn't know if I liked this girl.

The whole taxi ride I was sitting looking out the window while Cole and Nicole flirted.

Cole held out his hand and helped Nicole get out of the taxi, but ignored me trying to get out of the taxi in this tight skirt of mine.

Once we arrived I sunk down into a chair trying to let loose. "So you live with Cole?" Nicole sat down beside me taking a sip of her lemon lime bitters.

"Yes I was looking after him for a while, I'm actually his ex!" I yelled over the crowd of sweaty, dancing people and music.

"Yeah he told me, you seem very sweet!" She yelled back in my direction. Why did I think so badly of of this girl, was it just jealousy?

"I'm going to refresh quickly!" I got up out of my seat and walked into the bathroom. I stood staring at myself in the mirror for ten minutes. Nicole was too nice to hate and I was happy for Cole. I had decided to move on and enjoy myself ,as I turned around Nicole had appeared out of no where, "Alexia? Cole wanted me to check on you, you've been in here for ages?"

"Oh yeah sorry I was just washing my face and checking my notifications. Cole wanted you to check on me?"

"Yeah, he seems to care about you a lot..."

"Yeah we're really close friends..."

"Not too close I hope..."

"I'm sorry what?"

"Alexia I can see right through you, your Cole's ex girlfriend who's jealous of me and him being together." A shadow fell upon her face as she gave an evil look up at me.

"No...well I was but I realised that it's ok for Cole to move on and I should too."

"You better," she grab my shirt and pulled me right up to her face, "Cole's mine now and your going to have to deal with that!" She let go of me and pushed me away from her, "well lets go!" She smiled as her sweet side took over again.

I had just witnessed Nicole's dark side and I couldn't un-see it now. Was Cole dating a two-faced lyer again?...
