Today I am to be married to a sweet and kind Alpha; Noah Ryde. Being an Alphas daughter, I am to unite our packs together after decades of peace.
I don't want to be married, I am only eighteen just graduated and was on my way to travel the packs to find my mate. Sadly the day I was born this fate was sealed to me, as my one and only duty to my pack. Which I always believed to be my family.
Every wolf has the chance to go on a three month tour, during the winter seasons to visit each of the five packs that mine it connected too. This helps grow our packs and help strengthen our bonds. In fear of me finding my mate and backing out on my marriage I was denied that privilege.
There was only one other pack on North America that did not share our "Mating search" the Black Heart pack. The biggest pack of them all, instead they allow the "searchers" to go off in small groups taking a "routine" check up on the rest of our packs.
It was fine for a while until the new Alpha took control; Sebastian Nile. An Alpha who really took after his packs name.
He made it a law that if you left the pack you'd have to come back with a mate in a month, if not you are placed on a wanted list. Where rightfully so the Alpha can claim you to be taken back to the pack, it's illegal if anyone where not to report you back to your Alpha.
He was cruel, word got around he killed his father and his mate. Saying like every other heartless leader that "mates make you weak." I truly believe they make you stronger in every way. They are your other half, me and Noah don't get to experience this.
My brother; Xerxes was livid when he found out he would not get the Alpha tittle right away, because in order to unite the packs It has to be through marriage. Noah doesn't have a sister so it was left to me to mate with him.
But I could never really tell if it was the fact Xerxes wouldn't get his tittle or that his little baby sister wouldn't get her mate. My dad and him where overly protective of me, never letting me attend meetings with other Alphas, or having any guy friends. Having a crush on a boy was their death sentence.
I was six years younger than Xerxes, so I was always a fragile angel to him. Our dad made it so I could only be personally trained by them. No classes like the rest of my friends. I wasn't allowed to be trained, always afraid I'd get hurt or picked on.
For this reason was why I did get bullied during high school because finally my brother wasn't breathing down my neck. I never told anyone, I just stayed in class and got good grades graduating as valedictorian.
Now I was outside of school, preparing to be Luna of my pack, along with another that hasn't got to know me. I believe I could be good, even though I wasn't meant to be a Luna.
"Soph, are you almost ready?" My mother; Dalia a women I always am inspired by, we where very close. We also looked like twins, somehow I was a spitting image of her, except I have my grandmothers brown eyes that popped with stripes of gold. Everyone else in my family had blue eyes. Rare combination.
"Momma, what happens if I find my mate?" She frowns but her eyes held hope, walking over to me she smooths down her dress over her hips. She was a very curvy women something I still haven't received.
"It's gonna be okay Hun, we have a plan, just stay married to him for a year." This was a first I've heard about me having a chance to get out of this marriage. You must think I'm a spoiled brat who can't do one thing for her pack right? Well no, I'm still going through with this and I know that Noah wouldn't be if his other half was still with him.
