My wolf howled out a trade, her submission for the life of her pack, and everyone watched. As the Alpha was physically defeated. And the Luna emotionally.
This was a toxic pack, soon to fall apart if someone didn't get the members on their side.
We couldn't give up our pack just so we may defeat him, I would never let anyone touch my family if I could help it. Every single one of them were apart of me, one I wouldn't give up. I loved them all like they were blood related.
Looking around everyone was watching me intently, waiting for me to make a move. I only turned around and left, the crowd splitting like the Red Sea, no one would get in my way with my wolf pumped with adrenaline.
Feeling a poking around in my mind I look over my shoulder, seeing Sebastian watch me walk away. Hatred beaming towards me.
You just signed your death wish.
He mind links me, forcing his alpha voice into my head. Raising a lip in his direction I turn back and continue walking away slightly unharmed. I knew that had to do something with his wolf, mine only left him intact because she loves her side of the mate. Mine was a nightmare from hell that no one would dare to stop, at this point I knew I'd be the only one able to do that.
'He stays alive'
My wolf huffs, crossing her paws in front one another in my mind, she had a large heart I could tell, much like our mother. She would hate him and show it off, but on the inside we both knew the wolf he truly was, it killed us that he wouldn't show it.
He's just a product of his environment, we all are.
Many tales were told about Sebastian's family, his father used his mate for pups only. Abusing her for years when she said she couldn't have any pups, her life was hell. My mother told me she was raped for most of it. Of course he found her at the age of fifteen, while he had just turned twenty. Being an Alpha already of the Black heart back.
My mother never told me how she new these things, only that when I needed to know she or someone of importance would tell me. It was too late for that...
Shaking my head I noticed I was almost at the edge of the pack border after walking for so long. Getting lost in thought had a bad habit with me, it was worse in school.
Luckily I'm free of that, only to be challenged with a new type of hell. One I'm dealing with on my own.
Sitting down I stare off at the distance, I was emotionally exhausted. Looking up at the sky that had the sun held high in it, heating up everything beneath it. I gave the sky a wolffish grin happy that I could finally be alone.
Today I would be seen different around here, somehow the wolf who could speak. only royal wolves can speak so I was also a bit taken off guard when that happened. Also as the wolf who made a coward out to their Alpha, that also made us rejoice inside.
Howls of pain sounded off coming from the arena where I was just supposedly defeated, none came from the Alpha. I assumed I would be the only one to challenge him today, but his threat would always be in the back of my mind.
I never understood how mates could hate each other, the moon made us for one another. Unless the odd case of a second mate, I doubt that would happen to me. I would give up anything just to be at home with my family, even my mate if I had to.
In the end I new I wouldn't be able to, my wolf needs the other half, if we gave them up she would halt into a pit of depression. Cursing me out all the time for ripping her apart, something I'd only feel half of.
