I look outside. It's raining a little.

A car pulls up the driveway, barely seeing the headlights.

I head downstairs to kiss my mom goodbye.

"Bye mom" I hug her

"Be careful honey." My mom says

"Ok"

I head out the door covering my hair with my coat.

"Hey" laurel says

She has her hair perfectly strait and a leather jacket.

"Hey"

We pull up into the driveway with tons of cars parked down the street.

As we get out someone bumps into me with a cup in his hand. Obviously drunk.

He moves on.

"Hey!!!" Laurel says as we walk through the door.

"You made it!" Bridget, a friend, says

"Your looking nice" I smile

"Oh you know me, always dressing for a party"

"Wanna drink?" Bridget asks

"Ahh sure" I say

I take a sip of it. And set it down.

"You gonna drink that?" Someone asks

I turn around to face the voice

"Haha no I'm ok" I say talking to jake

"Ya, me either" he smiles

Laurel whispers something into her friends ear.

"Ya know," her annoying friend says

"You guys would be a cute couple" she smiles evilly at me.

I was so embarrassed. I hated her, she would always try and cause problems

"Ya, she's gorgeous" jake says

He smiles at me

"we were just talking about you with your ratty hair and how Suzzie is one of the prettiest girls here." Jake says

I smile and tried not to laugh

Laurel's face looked like it was about to explode with laughter.

Her friend's face. Well that was priceless

"Wanna dance?" He asks

"Ya, just a warning, I may step on your feet" I tease

"Ah that's ok" he laughs

We step into the living room and sway to the music.

"Hey, your a pretty good dancer" he smiles

"Thanks" I smile back holding onto his shoulders

~Jakes POV~

"Ya know" a girl says

"You two would be a cute couple" she smiles a terrible smile.

I knew this was to make suzzie feel bad. So I tried to make it better

"Ya, she's gorgeous" I smile at her

She looks up at me.

"We were just talking about you with your ratty hair and how suzzie is one of the prettiest girls here"

Everyone was gonna laugh,I could see it.

"Wanna dance?" I ask suzzie

"Ya, just a warning, I might step on your feet" she teases

"Ah that's ok" I say

~Suzzie's POV~

Time passes and I was feeling tired.

"Laurel" "laurel?" I say

I can't find her anywhere. searching everywhere.

I walk up to jake, "hey do you think you could drive me home?" "It's ok if you can't" I realized how desperate I sounded

"Ya, I can. I'm feeling tired anyway"

We both get in his car and start to drive off.
