Chapter 29

Jake picks Aiden up as I turn around. I wait for a while, trying to cheat a little by trying to hear where they are.

"Alright, he's hidden" jake says with a smirk

I turn around and head to the laundry room.

"Aaaiiddeeenn"

I check in the laundry baskets, the washer, and dryer. He wasn't there.

I checked the bathroom, and all the rooms. Then...

"Achoo!" I hear Aiden sneeze down stairs

I rush quickly down the stairs were jake was, in the living room.

I check the living room and dining area. Last place was the kitchen.

It was clean, I couldn't find him anywhere.

"Can I have a hint?" I ask

*silence*

"Please just make a peep?" I plead

...

"peep"

I turn around. The fridge was the only thing there. I looked up, and hidden behind the boxes on the freezer, was Aiden

"Oh my gosh, that's an awesome hiding spot" I laugh

"If your mom asks, you weren't up there. Ok?" I smile

"Okay" he giggles

Jake and I hear keys struggling in.

"Hello? I'm hoommmee!" Aiden's mom says

"Quick get him down! Get him dowwwnnn!" I whisper

Jake and I stumble but just in time

"Oh, Aiden!" She says hugging him

"To celebrate, we're going out to dinner." I kiss him

"It's a date"
