Chapter 28

"Great. Our ever lasting summer is about to end" I stammer

"It had to end at some point" he sighs

I look down at our intertwined hands

"I never really thought this through... I guess I kinda forgot about college... And different schools..."

There's a long silence between us

You could only hear the waves crashing and the wind

"What if it doesn't work out" I ask

"What?"

"Our... Long distance relationship"

I untangle our hands

"You know they don't work" I look down at the sand

Jake gets up to face me, holding my hand again

"Hey, hey, hey. We at least have to try ok"

He pecks my lips softly

Oh how I would miss that

He intertwines his hands again with mine as we walk along side of the coast

"Wanna go see the fault in our stars tomorrow after I'm done babysitting?"

"Ya sure"

"3... 2... 1... I'm coming for you"

I look around the hallway, in the closet and in the bathroom.

I go to the living room and look around the couches.

"Aiden, where are you?" I say in an intimidating voice

I spot little feet behind the curtain

"I found you Aiden!"

He giggles

"Ok I hide again"

"Ok, I'll count to 20"

*ding* *dong*

"Hold on Aiden"

I rush to the door and peek through the window to see those cute eyes of his

"Hey jake" I smile

"Can I come in?"

I lead him in closing the door behind him

"Aiden and I are playing hide and go seek"

"Can I join?" He smirks

"Sure. Aiden! We got a new friend to play with us"

He rushes toward jake

"C'mon c'mon we gotta hide"

"How about I hide you in the best spot ever"

"Ok"

I turn around to the wall and count to 20

"Alright here I come!"

Sorry this was terrible...

But on the bright side, I'm so freaking close to 10k!!! Just 1k left!
