Chapter 22

"Your coming tonight right?" I ask jake

"Ya of corse" he says

Jake was in California and it was New Years tonight.

"I want you to be my kiss at midnight" I smile through the phone

"I want you to be mine" he laughs

"Please just don't miss it" I plead

"I won't trust me" he says

"Alright see you"

"Bye"

I hang up the phone

Laurel comes through the door

"Girl, we are going shopping today!" She practically screams

"Good" I laugh

I grab my purse and we head out

"Let's go to pink" I point to the store

We head in and look around

I found really cute things to try on

"Let's go somewhere else" laurel states

"Can I try these on first?" I ask

"no it's too boring, let's go" she says as she pulls me out of the store

She can be suck a brat sometimes

We head into aero next and she spots something out

"Hey suzzie, try this on"

She hands me a skirt and a top

I head into the dressing rooms and see if it fits

It was a short high waist skirt and a crop top shirt

"Laurel it is so cute!" I smile

"Laurel?"

I peak outside and she wasn't there

I change into my normal cloths and pay for the outfit

"Hey, is this cute?" Laurel asks

"Ya" I reply

"Great" she smiles and hands it to the clerk

We go around the mall in other stores and head for Starbucks

"Ready for tonight? Who's gonna be your midnight kiss?" I ask

"Whoever is the closest to me" she laughs

"I'm guessing jakes gonna be yours"

"Um ya"

"We're is he by the way?"

"California. He said he would come back in time for tonight"

"Ah that's a close one"

"Ya I know" I look out the window

Once I get home I get changed into the cloths I just bought for New Years and the group of people arrive

Time counts down and jake still hasn't arrived

*where r u?* I text him

He doesn't respond and it gets to 10 seconds

I can feel a tear Rolling down my cheek

"3. 2. 1. HAPPY NEW YEAR!" The group of people shout

Jake leans over to kiss me

"Happy new year" he says

"Jake! You made it!" I say kissing him

"Don't ever do that agin!"

"I won't I'm so sorry he says wiping away my tear"

"Happy new year" I smile
