Fight Till the End

Chapter 15: The Future

"So, who do you think I am?" He asked taking a seat in one of the few chairs in the office.

"Well," I said with a look on my face that made it clear that I was getting a migraine, "If I had to guess, I would say you're me... from the future." I don't think that I would get use too all this any time soon, it was so hard to understand. "So how did you get here? Time Machine? Dark Magic? Randomness? What?"

He glared at me and said, "Not a Time Machine or Dark Magic. I teleported here actually."

I took a long hard look at him. "Teleported? Really? And how did you manage that? All I'm able to do is teleport palce to place, not in time."

He let out a small laugh, "It's easier than you think. You know how Elizabeth and you can teleport to different places? Well same concept, but instead of focusing on a person or there energy, you focus on a time and place that you want to visit. There is a catch though, you would have had to been there before. Weird, yes, but is works a lot better."

"Ok," I said with my curiosity rising, "but how is no one is able to sense you, not even me?"

"Well," he said, "I suppress my power, almost to nothing. I know it's dangerous and I could die, but I have no choice."

"Well... shall we get to the point?" I said, moving a chair backwards in front of him and sitting in it in reverse. "Why are you here... I mean, why am I here.. what ever, you know what I mean. What happened, that was so bad, for you to come to come back, for you to come here?"

He looked at me and for a while there was a silence. I figured he was thinking of what to say and what not to say and how to word everything

"Well," he finally started, "There are a a lot of things actually. The future is missed up Tyler, really missed up. There are fights every where you turn, fights that wreck towns... cities, their is no president, no government, no laws, nothing to maintain order. It's pure madness," He got up and started pacing back and fourth, "After I learned how to teleport back in time, I came here because it started with me when I lost the fight..... and everyone I knew....." He paused for a second. "I have nothing else to try, no trick up my sleeve. I just want to have a different and better path for everthing and everyone. Any future is better then the one I'm from."

"What do you mean you, I mean I, we lose the fight and lose everyone we knew... I know... we know!?!?" I asked yelling at him, getting up from the chair and also starting to pace back and fourth.

"Right before the fight," he says, "he kills everyone, in one swift attack. What he called it was making it an even fight, but I think he just did it piss me off... It worked, right after that I lost my temper. I transformed to what you did the other day, but that wasn't enough. He wipped the floor with me. I was surprised, I thought I had him but I was wrong. Soon after that, he started destroying capitols and well it's pretty much self-explanatory from there."

"Oh my god," I said exhaling, "What we need is a plan that saves everyone and destroys this god."

"Yeah," he said taking a seat once agian.

We both sat there in deep thought. I was thinking of every possibility, even multiple sacrificing plays. But if this man was as strong and my future self said he is, none of these planes would work. Then I had a brilliant idea.... the fusion technique.

"Hey," I asked, "when was the last time you you maxed out your power level? Last time you trained?"

He look at me a thought for minute. Then he answered, "Four years for training and five years for maxing out my power. Why?" He asked, obviously not having any idea where I was going with this.

I started explaining, "The other day, I celebrated with everyone for successfully doing the fusion technique with Angel"

"So??" he said still confused.

"So.... since the technique works with siblings, it should work with us. Even though your from the future, it should work like we're brothers, I mean were the same person. See what I mean?" I looked at him.

"You do see how long a shot that is right?" He said with the face of a man losing hope, "Even if that works, it's never been done. For all we know, we won't fuse right or we fuse perfectly but our power doesn't change or worse I just disappear."

"Look I understand where your coming from, but it's the only choice we have, so lets not fail." I said. I looked at him, his head was down and he had the face of a man that has been alone for awhile. "Hey, I bet you haven't seen Elizabeth for a while. What do you say about a visit?" He looked up and smiled.

"That would be nice Tyler, I would enjoy that." he said rising from the chair.

We started walking towards the back of the school. I told him that he should let me talk to Elizabeth first to prepare her, that way she doesn't hurt him. He agreed. We got to the end of the bus ramp and we started flying to Elizabeth's house. But then a thought entered my head, "If he is me from the future, why dose he keep calling me Tyler? I would think he would say we or us mostly." The thought crawled to the back of my mind.

I was thinking thw whole way there. How was this possible? What can I do to save everyone?.... What can I do to keep Elizabeth safe. I remember the vow I made a while back. I told myself, that no matter what, I will protect Elizabeth... even in certain death. "All I need to do is save everyone... some how kill the son of a bitch who caused all this and try to keep myself alive the whole time." I thought to myself. "What could go wrong?"
