Chapter 16: The introduction/The realisation

Getting to the house, I motioned for the 'future me' to stay back and keep his power suppressed. I didn't want Elizabeth to freak out. I figured it would be better for me to tell her, then show her.

I landed on the front porch, I sensed she was still in the house. I walked to the front door and opened it normally.

It's been about five hours since I left this morning. I wa not sure how she would react. I was hoping for the happy 'were have you been' mood instead of the angry 'why didn't you tell me you left' mood. With Elizabeth, it was luck of the draw with how she would react, but that's something I liked about her.

"Beth!" I hollered.

"In the training room!!" She hollered back.

I walked down the long hallway, and opened the door first door on the left, being the one on the right was the guests bedroom, technically my bedroom. I went in and she was running on the treadmill.

"Yeah?" Elizabeth asked as she turned the treadmill off and got off.

She came over and put her arms around my neck and kissed me on the cheek. The way she kissed me was beautiful, to me it was even sexier because she just got off the treadmill.

I'll admit that the last few weeks have been hard for both of us, but... needless to say, we became more closer to each other. Since she knew that she can come to me for anything, and the same goes for me to her, I knew would trust me. I know she loves me for who I am, because of the way she looks at me and the way she kisses me.

I grabbed her by the waist and pushed away a couple of inches, "I need to tell you something, and keep in mind that I never lie to you, unless I was forced or had to. Ok?"

She looked at me confused, but she nodded. I told her everthing including the idea of me and 'myself' fusing. And by the time I was done we were in her room and she was sitting on the bed with a even more confused look on her face.

"Still don't understand everything?" I asked.

She nodded. I hold my hand out as a gesture for her to grab it, she did. I took her outside in the front yard with her back facing the house. I noticed that he was on the roof, kneeling on one knee and he noticed what I was doing.

"Ok, Beth I want you trust me ok?," he stood up and jumped down landing silently on the grass be hind her. "Now, remember how I told you I met my future self today, he told me all that interesting stuff." She shook her head, telling me she was following me so far. "All that is true, but I kept one detail from you Beth."

"And what would that be?" She asked rasing her eye brows at me, tell me to get to the point.

"Well lets just say that this person is...." I couldn't get it out of my mouth, I didn't know she would react.

"This person is....." She said, wanting me to finish the sentence.

I tilted my head forward, motioning for her to look behind her.

I could tell she was in shock and disbelief. She pointed at him turned to me, then pointed at me. She repeated this four or five times.

"Don't worry," I said, "I'm the one from this time, he's the one from the future." I looked at her face, it looked like she was catching on. At this time the 'future me' started to cry a little. I lend in beside Elizabeth's ear, "He is crying because in his time, you didn't make it. He came back to try and make everything turn out better for everyone. And that is what's going to happen."

I took a step back and motioned to her to go over to him and comfort him. She was reluctant at first, but as she got to know him better, she began to see that is was really me from the future.

It was now getting dark and I was sitting at the counter watching Elizabeth and the future me talk. They were getting along great.

"We need to be getting to bed guys." I said looking at Beth then at him.

"Yeah," my future self said, "were going to need all the rest we can get. Besides I was going to hang back and let you fight him for a while. I'll protect everyone, at least in till I am needed."

I nodded, "Hey.... That's what I was thinking." We looked at each other and laughed along with Elizabeth.

"I'll sleep on the couch," Future me said, "You two can....." he looked at us both, "have the room." As he said using his middle and index to make quotations symbols.

Me and Elizabeth looked at each other. We smiled. She came over to me, lend on me and put her arm around me. Something she rarely did.

"Ok," I said, "goodnight man."

"Goodnight man" He replied back.

He laid back on the couch. Elizabeth and I went to the room and got ready to lay down.

I turned  the light off and laid down next to her, "Less than twenty-four hours," I started to say, "you holding up?"

She looks at me with her deep blue eyes, "Yeah, it's just... I'm still trying to process everything. I just didn't expect any of this to happen when I woke up this morning." She looked up at me and smiled.

"Only you and I know about him." I stated, "I don't want anyone else to know, just as a precaution. Ok?"

She shook her head and I cradled her head in my hand. "I love you Beth." I kissed her passionately on her lips, while sliding my hand down to her hip. She pulled head back and smiled, "I love you to Tyler, I have since I saved you that day. I really didn't know why I didn't say anything. I just love the way you never say no to a challenge or a fight, even when the odds are definitely not in your favor." She kissed me and I kissed her back pushing my lips against hers.

Less then twenty-four hours from now and I will be in the biggest, hardest, and the most intense fight I will ever be in. I just hope that it happens differently from what the future me said. As long as every one lives, Scarlett, Annalynn, Meagan, Victoria, Elizabeth, and even future me.

I realize that deep down I wasn't going to fight because I wanted to save everyone, I mean that's what I'll do, but I think I was doing it for the thrill, the fun, the excitement. Is it wrong to fight for the wrong reason, but end up with the same result? Is it?
