I wish we could say we woke up too birds singing and light streaming through the window, but we awoke too violent banging on the door. As I opened the door, still half asleep with Elizabeth following close behind me rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, it was Victoria who obviously had taken a beating.
"She got them. Meagan, Annalynn, Scarlett, all of them." She said as she passed out in the door way.
I quickly picked her up and brought her to the living room and laid on the couch. Elizabeth took care of her as I watched over the house from the porch. As from what I could tell, no one follewed her. After about a hour I went inside to check on Victoria.
"She awake yet?" I asked as I closed the door behind me.
"Yeah, she woke up a couple of minutes ago. I'm getting her something to drink." she said getting a glass from the cabinet above the sink.
"How is she doing." I asked.
"She is shaken up pretty bad. I'm mean she hasn't been in this bad of shape since the time you first learned how to use your power and you popped off a shot that nearly killed her. Even then, this is at least three times worse." She said taking the glass and starting towards the livng room. I followed her and sat on the couch on the other side of Victoria.
"So what happened?" I asked.
"I got home from my day at the gym like usual. That's when I notice a woman walking to where me and the girls were staying. She busted the door down, with out even flinching a muscle! Then I started too make my move on her, but that's when she... she..." she hit the table in the center of the room causing it too crack in half. "put her hand up towards my direction. That's when I froze. She looked at me and laughed. That's when I knew I wasn't a match for her, because that's when she shot me back with her energy all the way to the stop sign. I think that's about a six or seven hundred feet, but when I came too I immediately ran into the house a searched for them. Obviously I didn't find them other wise they would be here."
I looked at Elizabeth, I could tell that she wanted to find the girl who did this. I did too, but I didn't know where to start. I tried to think. The girl who did this was poweful but she shows off. That means that it should be easy to find her, just follow the debri trail.
"Can you describe her?" I asked Victoria, hoping for a descriptive answer.
"Not really Tyler," she said grabbing the bridge of her nose. "It was dark, I mean I know she was white, has blond hair, she's medium built, but that's all I can remember. Sorry."
"No, it's fine. That helps." I said standing up and walking to Elizabeth's room. I sat on the bed and just started thinking.
"So, how you holding up?" Elizabeth asked Victoria.
"Fine, I guess. I mean this is a lot worse than the time Tyler almost killed me." Victoria said rubbing her hand were it hit the table. "Sorry about the table. I lost my temper. I'm usually able to control it better."
"It's ok. Don't tell Tyler though, but I got it at a yard sell for about ten bucks. He thinks it's some kind of rare indian table or something." Elizabeth said jokingly.
"You and Tyler seem to be doing well. I mean, it's obvious that you two slept together." Victoria said with a growing smile on her face.
"I have know idea what you're talking about!! I mean why would you assume that? No we haven't." Elizabeth said taking the offensive.
Victoria looked at Elizabeth with her eye brows rised. Elizabeth looked at Victoria in defeat, "That obvious?" she said with the voice of someone that was caught.
"Little bit girl. You have to remember, I am a girl too, I know the signs. I've been in your shoes." Victoria said with a sense of cockiness, like she has been there. "Look girl, don't worry, I won't say anything. You just got to keep in mind that things...... are going to get rough. Because of the...."
Elizabeth cut her off. "I don't want to talk about that know, just... just leave it alone. Ok?" She said rising her voice.
"Ok ok, just calm down." Victoria said with her getting a little scared.
"Calm down. Calm down! How the hell am I going to be able to calm down when the only other person that I care about that is alive and soon he may not. Explain how I'm supposed to calm down." She starting to break down in tears.
"Elizabeth everything's going to be fine." Victoria said placing a hand on her back, "You need to focus on the postive, not the negative. Just think girl, with all the training we gave him he'll be fine. And keep in mind, that's not counting the moves he thought of. Trust me."
"You know what you're right," Elizabeth said wipping away her tears, "He can handel himself pretty well. I mean I did train him the way I was trained. What is he doing though he's be gone for a while?" She said changing the subject.
They get up and go to her room, were I was. She opens the door and there I am, up side down on one hand holding myself up, slowly going up and down. I noticed they were in the doorway, so I rised up and slowly extended my leg to the floor and I stood up.
"What's up?" I asked with them still in a gaze. "What?? Wondering what I was doing?" They both nodded their heads in unison. "I do that when I'm stressed and need to focus on something. Meagan showed me that move. It's very difficult to learn at first. But when you learn it, boy does it help."
"Wow. Umm... Tyler, do you have any ideas on what to do next." Elizabeth asked holding Victoria's arm.
"Yeah, actually." I started, "I know it's hard, but for now we wait. Ok?" They noded, "Ok, lets go watch some t.v." I walked up to them turned them around and started walking them to the living room. I didn't want to tell then that I didn't sense the area where they were. So I work on it while we watched t.v., well while they did. I had to focus on finding the girls.
