All I see is dark destruction all around me. Screams fill the air that was once filled by noise of everyday traffic and the joyful sound of laughing children. Then all of a sudden a loud screech filled the air, then silence. I was blinded a bright light. I see a man in the distance, I start to walk towards him, but the faster I walked, the farther he would get from me. I tripped and started falling. As I fell I saw memories of my friends and family all around me on pieces of broken glass. All the good memories that were all but forgotten. Then fire engulfed each piece of glass. Then I turn just to see that I'm just about to hit the ground.

I awoke to Elizabeth yelling at me trying to get me to wake up. I was breathing heavy, I noticed that I was holding onto her arms tightly, I let go of her.

"Oh my god. Are you ok?" She asked with a sense of urgency.

I looked at her, she was crying and looked scared. Her eyes were blood shot, her clothes were almost ripped off and she was shaking uncontrollably.

"I'm fine. It was just a dream. What happen to you?" I asked still out of breath.

"I was sleeping when I awoke up too screaming. I jumped out of bed and ran down the hall to see that you were screaming, telling someone to stop running. That's when you grabbed me, and you.... well it wasn't you, it was your energy that did this. I'm fine though. It didn't hurt me at all, it just ripped my chothes." She said still shaking.

"Are you sure you're ok though?" I asked trying to stand up.

"Yeah, but don't get up!!" She yelled. "I don't want you too get hurt." she said holding me down.

"I'll be fine Elizabeth. Just let me think for a second." I said taking her hands off my arms.

I told her about the dream I had. She said she was sure that it was the result of what happened at the school.

"It's only expected," she said. "You've been through alot Tyler. It's not like you can just ignore it."

"I know." I told beth finally catching my breath. "I just wish that I could have done more. I mean, I wasn't able to save any of them. Bad thing is that I don't remember too much. I mean I remember fighting him, I remember over powering him for a split second, then nothing. The next thing I remember is walking through the destroyed school halls, and being rescued by you. Right?"

"Yeah. When I found you, you were in bad shape. You're lucky I found you, because I don't think you would lasted to much longer." She said as she sat down next to me on the couch, her cheeks red and puffy from crying.
I looked over at clock and I saw that it was three in the morning. I knew that I wasn't going to be able to go back too sleep.

I looked at Elizabeth, still in her torn clothes. "You going to change?" I asked, not really expecting an answer.

"Yeah, in a second though. I want to make sure that you don't hurt your self." She said with a concerned look on her face.

She glanced at me with her blue eyes and scooted over closer to me, her thigh now touching mine. She laid her head on my chest. I looked down and saw that she was starting to cry agian. It was easy to tell that this was the first time that something like this hasn't happened to her before. She really cared about me.

"Look," I said turning her head, facing it towards mine, "I'm ok, there's nothing to scared of. After you train me, I think most of this nightmare stuff will go away. Then the rest of it well go away when I beat this so called god. Ok?"

She nodded. With her head still on my chest and my arm around her, It was clear that she had a sensitive side, a caring side. But I realized that I had something to care about, someone to care about...... someone I loved. "She's the only thing that I have now." I thought to myself.

Right then, I made a vow to do what ever it takes too insure her safety..... No matter the cost.
