Chapter 7

"Wooo!", Sheila screamed from the top of ferris wheel. Caroline laughed and for the first time in what seemed like forever, Alaric was smiling at his little sister. Liz and Jeremy were shooting at ducks at a stall near the wheel. Both were competing and it seemed like the stall was loosing more teddy bears than it ever had. All in all, everyone was having fun and all the worries were forgotten.

Caroline and the two kids approached Jeremy and Liz. "Which one do you want kiddo?", Liz asked as she won yet another stuffed toy. "The zebra.", Sheila said pointing at the black and white animal. "I don't think you have enough room for all these.", Alaric said making a face. He was so not going back to the car to dump the bloody toys. Caroline chuckled. The three of them two soft toys in each hand. "Give them. I'll go and keep them in the car so daddy can win more for you", she said. "Hey I won most.", Liz said loud. Caroline laughed and with all the stuffed toys in her hand, walked to the car.

The backseat all ready had 7 toys and now 8 more. The little girl had more than ten soft toys always neatly laid on her bed with small pillows. With the new edition Caroline where was she going to sleep. She put the toys in the car and started walking away from the parking lot, however a swoosh sound behind her stopped her. She turned and a group of people surrounded her. All of them started chanting. "Argh...not again", Caroline tried to run but her head started throbbing and she was pinned to one of the cars. She couldn't budge and was fast loosing her senses. The horrible, painful chanting went on for a minute longer and by the end of it Caroline was in a deep slumber

Stefan and Dean drove behind the ambulance. Dean felt really bad. This shouldn't have happened. The spell was very easy and safe and yet here they were driving to the hospital. As soon as they reached, Stefan called Jeremy and told him everything. Jeremy and Liz were at the hospital and hour later. "Where is she?", Jeremy asked. "In room 207. She is still unconscious but the doctors said there is nothing to worry about.", Stefan answered. "Where is Caroline?", Liz asked. "She was with you.", Stefan said confused. "Yes but then she disappeared. We thought she was with you.", Liz said. "No she is not here. As soon as we reached here, I called Jeremy and we are just waiting ever since.", Stefan said. "She was with us but then she just disappeared. It's not like her to just disappear without telling me.", Liz sat on the chair holding her head in her hands.
