Robin x Reader (Book 2)

Reunion

"ugh..." I opened my eyes and looked around. I seemed to be in a sort of cave. "Robin?" I called out.

He turned to me. "You're awake." he smiled at me.

"Where am I?" I asked him.

"Gotham City. Batman asked me to bring you here. He was curious about your abilities and wanted to run some tests." he said.

"You could've asked. I'm willing to tell you what you want to know. Well, as long as I know the answer to it at least." I smiled.

He smiled and then I noticed I was starring and quickly looked away from him, "So..." he said to me since it was awkward. "Were you part of a team before this?" he asked.

"Yeah. Why do you ask?" I asked him.

"Just... curious..." he said awkwardly.

"It was a team called the Teen Titans." I said and felt shy all of a sudden. I suddenly felt arms wrap around me. "Robin?" I turned and saw his head buried in my neck. "Are you okay?" I asked.

"Do you not remember me?" He asked me.

"Have I met you before?" I asked him.

"It's me, Dick. Dick Grayson." He said smiling.

".. Dick?" I turned and reached for his mask. He quickly grabbed my hands and shook his head. 

"Not here. Bat said I should never reveal who I am, and I broke that rule when I told the others." He said and squeezed my hand.

"What about the Titans?" I asked him.

"I quit. Something happened with Batman and his second sidekick, so I left the Titans and joined Batman again as the Dynamic Duo." he said and held me hand. "So, after you left, Star went back home. We were happy, but it didn't feel right to be more than friends with her." He explained to me. I smiled and punched his shoulder lightly. 

"Thanks for taking care of me. I assume no one else knows your identity?" I asked.

"Only Wally." he said and helped me to my feet.

"I see." I smiled and and looked at him face to face, "I look forward to the day where I can see your face." I said and hugged him.

"Are you both done?" I turned to see Batman.

I smiled nervously and felt like I did something bad even though I didn't do anything. "Y-yeah. Did you have a mission for us?" Robin asked stepping up. 

"Go to the mountain, we're running a simulation training." he said.

"Ladies first." Robin smiled letting me leave the bat cave first.

The simulation was in an old gotham warehouse against some mud/slime monster.

I groaned as I was thrown to a wall and then Kaldur was thrown against me, knocking the air out of me. I glanced to the side and saw the others knocked out as well. I looked at the weird slime freak again and as he was about to swing down at us, Batman crashed through the window, saving us.

The simulation ended, and I looked at my dirty clothes and hair. "All of you, shower and head home. I need to talk with Aqualad." Batman said.

"This is my home." Superboy said heading to the showers.

I followed the others to the showers. I stopped and waited for Robin. He finally caught up and I elbowed him. "How are you so clean? Not fair." I said.

He didn't say anything but he seemed a bit upset. "Hey. Do you... Wanna... Come over later? The manor has a great training area." He offered.

"You live in a manor?" I asked him. He then looked around and I smiled and established a mind link between the 2 of us.

"I live in Wayne manor. Bruce Wayne adopted me when I was younger. Did I not tell you before?" he asked me in thought.

"I don't remember you mentioning it." I told him in response.

~At the manor~

We entered his mansion in our civilian clothes and he told me he was going to change first, then take me to the training area. After a few minutes he led me down a floor and into a large room. I walked around looking at all the equipment, and Dick went to go practice his acrobatics. As he practiced, I saw he seemed upset. "Just Aqualad." I heard him complain.

He then flipped off and tried to land on one of the punching bags, but slipped and rolled onto the ground and hit his back to the wall. He then angrily punched a dent in the wall. "Dick..." I muttered and stood up and sat next to him on the bench as he drank his water. I was a bit concerned for him. He was silent and seemed to be brooding. I wasn't sure what to do, so it got awkward for a bit.

The door then opened and the butler called for Dick to see Bruce. I heard him huff as he stood up and walked away. I left with Dick and his butler as they went out back and I saw Bruce there, and then the 2 of them began playing basketball. I smiled seeing him look more happy.

I glanced back at Alfred, "I assume you know of Master Dick's secret?" he asked me.

".. yes." I nodded. "Is it bad?" I asked nervously.

"He isn't supposed to tell anyone, but I suppose it is good for him to have people who know of his secret. Then he can have more people to talk to as well, rather than just me and Master Bruce." he said smiling at me.

"Then wouldn't it be bad when batman finds out." I asked.

"I'm sure you have already figured out who Batman is, and I am certain he has figured out that you know of his and Master Dick's secret." Alfred said smiling at me.

I smiled and looked out the window at the 2 and then at Alfred, "I hope I can be of help when he needs it" I said smiling.
