Irreplaceable

Chapter 19

Chapter 19-

I smile as Shawn finishes his last song with a genuine smile on his face, you could tell he loved this so much and how passionate he was about it all, it was clear on all of his features. Being sat on the side watching Shawn and listening to him perform had been amazing, as an artist he is truly phenomenal. It was strange but hearing him instantly had put a smile on my face, that didn't happen often.

I watch Shawn as he leaves from the opposite side of the stage and get up to grab my phone and go around the building to find him, I quickly scroll through my home screen hoping for something for Noah but I suppose I had gotten my hopes up too high. There was nothing.

I momentarily shut my eyes and take a deep breath and continue to walk, he was just busy and I was just being clingy. I needed to stop and enjoy myself, I mean not every girl gets to go on tour and do what she loves as a hobby for a career.

On my little journey to finding Shawn I spot a small little cart with bottles of lemon water and muffins and remember how Shawn loved both, so I grabbed two blueberry muffins and two chocolate chip and two bottles of lemon water and continued to try and find him and of course I hear him before I see him as I turn a corner with his cute little laugh filling the room. 

Wait what? 

I shake my head and try to get the thought out it shouldn't matter should it? I had Noah, I mean I still have him.

I prop myself up on a wall and wait patiently for everyone to finish congratulating Shawn just as they had done for me and wait for them to leave. When they do I see him look around the room for someone, and I soon find out that the someone was me because a smile illuminates his face as I push myself off the wall and walk over to him.

"You did really well Shawn! Well done," I say reaching up to give him a hug, which he returns lifting me slightly off the ground due to our hight.

"Thank-you!" he beams, sweat glistening on his forehead "You did so well too! You're voice is really soothing to listen to," 

"Funny because I was going to say the same about you,"

"Really?" He questions, genuine surprise lacing his voice

"Definitely, it's just so mesmerising. I could listen to it everyday," As the words leave my mouth a shy boyish smile spreads across his face, and a rosy blush fills his cheeks.

"Luckily for you we have months left of this tour," 

Realising we were still in one another embrace, for much longer than we should have been, we awkwardly pull apart both blushing. Fortunately, I remembered the muffins so we were snapped out of the vexatious trance as I picked up the small bag counting them from the floor- alongside the two bottles of lemon water.

"I got us these," I say handing the items to Shawn 

"Muffins!" He yells grabbing the bag from my hand, running away.

"Hey! Shawn, I want some too!!" I reply chasing after him.

"You have to catch me first!" He screams whilst darting around the corridors, stuffing his face with the precious chocolate muffin.

"Oh it's on!" I yell back 

"Oh it's on," he mimics in a high pitched girly voice.

"I sound nothing like that," I stop, trying to regain my breath. Boy was he in good shape, this was the most exercise I had ever done! By now Shawn had gone out of eyesight and I had lost him, I sigh in resignation strolling around the  corridor, he would have eaten all the muffins by now. 

 I take a sharp turn to the left and as I do someones hands grab me and I punch them as hard as I can,

"BOO-ow," Shawn yells and then starts rubbing his shoulder "What did you do that for?" 

"It's called self-defence, you jumped up on me!" 

"No, Eva it's called abuse. My poor shoulder, it's going to be so bruised," he retorts, playfully pouting causing me to burst out laughing. 

"Whats so funny now? I didn't realise my pain could bring you so much joy," 

"No- Shawn, it's just that" I giggle between the words attempting to get my sentence whilst Shawn gazes down at me a smile spread across his face "It was just your pout!" 

"My pout?" he questions 

"Yep your pout," 

"Please enlighten me Eva, what is wrong with my pout?"

"It's terrible!" I giggle 

"Oh how you wound me," he puts his hand over his heart, a warm smile across his face whilst he gazes down at me making warmth spread across my face and in return his gaze makes a smile appear on my face.

"Quit staring at me like that," he says 

"You started staring at me first," I smirk

"That's because there's a lovely view," he smiles "I mean the wall is truly fascinating don't you agree?" 

"You're so annoying!" I exclaim

"Would an annoying person save you a muffin?" He pulls out the remaining muffins from his pocket, which I gratefully take.

"You know," I say whilst munching on the blueberry muffin "You're still annoying!" 

"Takes one to know one honey," 

Honey?

Honey....

Honey!!! 

The word makes my heart flutter, stupid I know. I still squeal inside, and do cartwheels in my head whilst I try to keep my face normal and continue to eat my muffin. As I turn right so we can head back to our dressing rooms and then go back to the hotel Shawn swiftly grabs my wrist turning me in the opposite direction,

"I thought it was this way?" I question 

"Not where I want to take you,"

"Where are you taking me Shawn?" 

"To Neverland," 

"You're not Peter Pan stupid!"

"All you need is a faith, trust and a little pixie dust," he turns facing me, as his fingers curl around mine.

"Oh my god you are not quoting Peter Pan! Please will you tell me where we're going?"

"Trust me?" He asks and I feel his hot breath on my face

"Okay," I whisper.

A charming smile spreads across his face and he clasps both my hands and walks backwards- facing me- whilst saying, well more like quoting,

"So come with me where dreams are born and time is never planned. Just think of happy things, and your heart will fly on wings, forever." Shawn quotes Peter Pan, but with an expression that I cannot deny as we get approach the back of the building and get into a car, as he drives me on our little adventure...
