Chapter 9

Chapter 9- Roadtrip part two

I hurry out of Starbucks, juggling three frappuchinos in my hand, making my way back towards the minivan. The thing I was most surprised and pleased about, was that I didn't manage drop any of the beverages, I was a clumsy person okay?

You see, because the queue was so long for the toilet I held a place for people while they ordered the drinks and then once the orders were placed they would come and reclaim their spot, this didn't make any disturbance of course. Only because we were at the very back of the line. I had then gone to Starbucks to collect the drinks and Andrew came and got the rest not wanting me to have to go back and forth or carry too many in one go, and so we were back to what I was currently doing. Andrew of course was way behind me because he had gone to locate Shawn who had currently disappeared somewhere inside the relatively small building.

I reach the minivan and Carter, a back up guitar player, comes and opens the doors for me. I hand everyone their drink and sit there having my own, taking note that the seating arrangement was now different than before. I didn't mind as long as I wasn't sitting next to Shawn . We had also started to pass around the snacks I had bought earlier. Minutes pass whilst we sit there, conversing a lot more with one another than the first half of the journey, waiting for both Shawn and Andrew to join us.

I'm sat there in a fit of giggles at something Carter had done, unable to catch my breath along with everyone else. Without knowing the people that surround me for long, they really did make me laugh and look forward to what was to come of the entire tour. Suddenly, the doors open and Shawn and Andrew both come into the vehicle. Andrew goes and sits at the very front next to the driver and because Shawn's seat had been taken he had to sit next to me. Great...note the sarcasm.

He sits there in silence not even acknowledging my presence, staring out the window. I sigh but involve myself in the conversation going on between everyone else, making the time fly by a lot sooner and Shawn's presence to me unknown.

In the short period of time, fourtyfive minutes to be precise, we had all learnt a lot about one another and had followed one another on social media. When the driver informed us that there wasn't long left of the trip everyone started to make plans about what we were going to do. Surprisingly Shawn joined in with the conversations and it wasn't all that bad. Our plans for when we arrived at the cabin was to go to our rooms, then order pizza and watch a horror movie.

Suddenly the car jolted towards the left taking a swift turn into a secluded forest area. We must have been close but as a result of I flew into Shawn, instead of even trying to help me he sprung away and continued looking out the window. What was his problem?!

I didn't have a chance to over think it because the car had parked in front of a beautiful cabin, like something from a movie. With the sun shining above looking down on the cabin and the trees framing it perfectly. I loved it.

I stood there in awe until Shawn's voice interrupted me,

"It's beautiful right? The inspiration hits you like crazy,"

I lightly chuckled "You can say that again, it's amazing."

He throws me a small comforting smile, and grabs my bags taking them in for me.

"I've got your bags, go around and check the cabin out." he calls over his shoulder.

And ladies and gentlemen at that point I was so confused. I thought he hated me....

Guys I'm so sorry this is a lot shorter and sooooo bad compared to the other updates. I've been so busy with school all week and overall its been kinda a bad week but you guys were amazing as usual and I love you all so much! I'll try make the next one better!
