When the train pulled up into the station, Lucy jumped up and rushed out the doors, eager to meet with the mayor to find out as much as possible before she went into this blind.
Reaching the rather large house, she pressed a button on the outside of the fence. A younger woman buzzed her in and met her at the door.
"I'm here about the mission request that the mayor sent out? I'm from Fairy Tail." Lucy waved her hand in front of the woman."Oh thank goodness! Please come in, the mayor will be with you shortly." The woman led her to a small entertainment room, letting her sit on one of the many chairs as she informed the mayor of her arrival.
It didn't take long for a rather short, plump man came walking in from the closed door. He had a soft smile on his face as he placed himself across from Lucy, his hands folded in his lap as he cleared his throat.
"I'd like to start off thanking you for partaking in this request. As per usual I assume you would like a run down of the issue as well as any information I have on the bandits, yes?" The mayor inquired, waving his hand in the air absentmindedly.
"Yes sir, any and all information on the bandits is a huge help and would make the capture of the felons all the more smoother." Lucy smiled at the man, hoping to ease a bit of the nervousness that racked her.
"Well there is five of them, two of which are mages with weak fire magic. I assume that they will be of no threat to you, especially since you are a member of Fairy Tail. We have been given information on when the attack is said to occur and where. At around 11 o' clock tomorrow night they are going to raid the city bank. I will pay for your stay in a hotel for tonight but if you are staying any later I'm afraid you will have to do so yourself." The mayor stood up, motioning for Lucy to follow him as he lead her out of the house.
"I can't thank you enough for helping us out, it means a lot and your reward will be paid in full. I hope two celestial keys and 20,000 jewels will suffice." The mayor said as he stood at the door.
"It's more than enough sir, thank you. I promise as a member of Fairy Tail that I won't let you down." Lucy waved to the mayor one final time before she made her way back down the sidewalk and out into the city.
Being able to enjoy the calm hustle and bustle of the town now that she wasn't trying to escape from Phantom Lord allowed her to enjoy her time. She stopped at a few magic stores to ask about any spirit keys, buying the two off their hands. One of them was the Phoenix and the other was one she had never seen before. The coloration was unlike anything she had ever seen. The key was a pitch black, it had a crow carved into the top of it, the eyes an eerie red.
She had summoned Crux to figure out if there was any record of a black celestial key and what it was. He had told her that he would inform her once he learned of it. She thanked him before sending him back into the spirit world for him to work his magic.
Finding the hotel the mayor had told her about, she wandered inside and stopped at the front desk, telling the man behind the desk of her arrival. He handed her a room key and told her what floor her room was on before he went back to his computer.
Jumping in the elevator she pressed in the button and waited patiently for the machine to stop before she walked out and into the hallway. Stopping in front of her room, she unlocked her door and stepped inside, a smile on her face as she scanned the room. One bed was placed in the room, a small desk and dresser pushed of onto the side of the room. A bathroom equipped with a rather nice bath/shower combo was adjacent to the room.
Lucy summoned Virgo to bring her the bag she had packed for the trip so she could lay out the clothes she would wear for tomorrow. Forgoing her usual short skirt she traded it in for a pair of black leggings and a matching black crop top. Pulling out her combat boots and laying her Fleuve d'étoiles out on her night stand next to her bed, she readied herself for a bath before bed.
