Getting Over Her

Despite knowing that her spirits or any spirits for that matter wouldn't hurt their key owner, Lucy found herself taking a step back from the large sea beast. She couldn't make out much of his form, only that he rivaled Dragonis in size. His body however, mimicked more of a snake than a dragon. The fog that clung to his scales hid most of his form from view, casting shadows along his slender body. Lucy couldn't tell if that was intentional on his part or merely coincidental, but knowing her spirits, Lucy could only guess it was his doing.

"Hello Hydra, my name is Lucy Heartfilia and I was hoping you would make a contract with me?" Lucy asked, her voice coming out a tiny bit shaky despite herself.

The beast chuckled, his heads bending down and into view. The sight had Lucy smiling brightly. His scales were the same color as the night sky and his many eyes were a blinding white. He had horns perched on top of his heads, sticking up at angles and down his necks all the way down to his tail. As the fog cleared and Lucy could see the beast more, her fear was replaced by joy.

"My Lady, it's a pleasure to meet you. Dragonis has been talking so much about you. I would be honored if you were to hold my key. I am at your service whenever you need, however much like Aquarius you must summon me in water, unless it is an emergency. I specialize in water magic and illusions." His voice was melodic, making Lucy even more happy than she thought she could be.

"Why am I so happy?" Lucy asked aloud, watching as the spirit just laughed and bent one of his heads further down towards her.

"It is apart of my illusions, I am what your kind would call a siren. I can temp humans and other creatures to do my bidding, or make them happy in your case. I do like to leave a good first impression." The large beast purred, nudging up against the female with his snout before he pulled back to look at her group behind her.

"The ones she calls Laxus and Gajeel, step forward." The big creature called, his eyes narrowing as they did so.

"Gajeel, what you did today was very irresponsible and could've ended badly. Lucy isn't ready for that kind of stress on her, she still has much to learn about her new magic and her instincts are still very uncontrollable. Laxus, for the remainder of the ride home and in the presence of Gajeel, I request you watch the two closely, Lucy can't mate with that dragon slayer." Hydra made sure the two nodded in understanding before he turned back to Lucy.

"Corvus had put a seal on you when you had signed your contract did he not?" Hydra watched as Lucy nodded her head before continuing. "I know for a fact that Dragonis did not, but if he did so it would've made learning dragon slaying magic harder, and since I will not be teaching you magic, I must place my seal on you as well."

Lucy quickly lifted her sleeve up, pointing to her other bicep that didn't have Corvus' mark on it. Letting Hydra place his head over her arm, she felt his magic swell around her arm before he pulled away, watching with a grin on his faces as Lucy looked down toward the mark. A large winding serpent wove down her arm to her hand where many heads branched off, eyes shining white. Lucy squealed.

"It's so cool! It looks badass." Lucy giggled, brushing her hand over the new mark and feeling the magic respond. "Now I have two!"

"Yes indeed My Lady. I will be taking my leave now, you should all be on your way back to the guild." The large serpent bowed to the blonde before disappearing in a puff of smoke.

Lucy turned back to the group behind her, watching as they all smiled at her. She jumped up to Gajeel and Laxus and enveloped them in a hug, squealing into their ears as she gripped them to her. She ignored their loud shouts of pain and anger, spinning them around in circles as she laughed.
