After stepping out of Master's office after she had discussed her training and new abilities, she could still feel pent up anger coiling in her gut. Glancing around the guild, her eyes paused on the request board. She might have just gotten back, but that doesn't mean she can't go on a job. Ignoring the pointed looks from a few of her apologetic guild mates, Lucy harshly shoved her way through the crowd to get to the board. After scanning the requests, she paused at one that seemed to call to her.
The reward wasn't too high and there weren't any keys offered, but the details of the mission caught her eye. She was to go undercover during a party to scope out the guests. Apparently one of the party hosts had heard through a grape vine that his ball was going to be crashed by a relatively small dark guild and just wanted to keep everyone safe. She would have to travel to Bosco though and the thought of that long of a boat ride made her head spin. Maybe she should invite someone who knows the area.
Her eyes lighting up in excitement, she tore the paper off the wall with a cheer. Rushing up to Mira she told the woman of her idea and got a surprised but happy smile in return and was given the go ahead. Squealing in excitement, the blonde rushed up the stairs and back to Laxus' table. Slamming the paper down on the table, she turned her eyes to those of the Seith Mage taking up residence on the right hand side of the behemoth of a blond. His deep red eyes shined with curiosity and Lucy felt a rumble form in her chest as she breathed in the wonderful scent of his musk. The man smelled exotic.
"Hey Cheerleader, what you running up her like a bat out of Hell for?" Bickslow asked with a quirk of his eyebrow.
"I found this job request on the board downstairs and the mission caught my eye, the only thing is, I don't know my way around Bosco and I do know for a fact that you are from there. It's a stake out pretty much, not too difficult and you can have the reward, I just want to get out of here for awhile." Lucy pleaded, her lips stuck out in a pout and her hands clasped in front of her as she begged.
Bickslow's eyes bugged out of his head as he glanced up to the blond man next to him. Laxus was glaring at him, but kept himself quiet at the female in front of him practically squished her tits up towards the blue haired mage. Bickslow, after seeing that Laxus didn't particularly care if he accompanied the blonde, agreed to go with her and got a knee weakening hug and a kiss on the cheek for reasons unknown to him. He hesitantly hugged the girl back, his eyes locked on the ground to avoid the piercing stares he was receiving from multiple slayers.
"How about I meet you at the harbor in about three hours so I can pack and shower real quick?" Lucy smiled up at the silent mage, watching as he nodded dumbly before she gave him one more quick kiss on the cheek and a wave to Laxus and his team before she skipped down the stairs and out the door.
The only other mage in the guild to notice this interaction was Cobra, who didn't seem pleased with this, but was trapped in the green haired girl's grasp and couldn't do anything to stop it. He watched helplessly as the blonde strolled out the doors and into the darkening sky.
Lucy hummed to herself, feeling a weight lift off her shoulders as she strolled up her street and towards her apartment to pack and shower before she had to meet Bickslow at the harbor. She was excited to go on this mission and travel to Bosco, mostly so she could try to find some more of her elemental keys. Maybe the man would want to tag along with her and spend more time there than needed. She was getting kind of lonely looking for her keys by herself. Smiling at the thought of company besides her spirits, she quickly packed her bags for a few weeks and bathed before skipping out her door and locking it behind her.
By the time she got to the harbor, the sun had set and she could smell Bickslow around the corner. She waved as the man came into view, smiling brightly as he held up two tickets to board the boat. Hesitantly stepping onto the small bridge for her to cross, she hobbled towards the deck. They had bought tickets to board a small cruise ship, compliments of Lucy seeing as how Bickslow agreed to go with. He insisted that she didn't have to pay, but the blonde wouldn't have it, saying that he could have easily resisted going with her and left her alone.
Bickslow smiled to himself as they found their cabin, two full sized beds pushed up against opposite sides of the room with a nightstand and a lamp on it. Lucy found the bathroom and immediately seized it, shouting something to him about marking her territory as they would most likely be stuck in there for at least a week. Bickslow didn't mind, he had a beautiful partner he would be able to get to know for however long the mission lasted and hopefully longer so he could have her all to himself.
When Lucy came out of the bathroom, steam pouring out from behind her and her hair cascading down her back, Bickslow had to bite back a groan at her pink flushed skin that no doubt came from the heated water. Instead of getting caught staring, he shuffled his way past the blonde and into the bathroom to shower as well, silently dreading the upcoming weeks he was going to spend with her as well as praising them.
Hey guys! I know with the way this story is going that it may seem that the pairing is changing but I can promise you that this is not the case. I felt like this story needed a little bit more drama before I could make the two happy before ending it. I'm not sure how much longer this story is going to be, but I can promise that it isn't going to be another ten chapters (hopefully...). Thank you to everyone for reading this and being patient with me as I throw you all for a loop again and again. I can only hope that you stick with reading this and continue to like it and support it as it comes to an end.
Thanks and until next time!
