She Needs a Break

Wendy forced Lucy to spend the next week in the infirmary, something that the blonde understood, but by the time the week was up, she was itching to leave. It was torture to sit in that bed all day and just think. Lucy did a lot of soul searching while bedridden. She relived what had happened and slowly came to terms with it, not exactly back to normal, but no longer holding onto the pain that crippled her before.

No one had suspected that she had been raped while she was there and none of the dragon slayers seemed to pick up on the change in her scent so the blonde just ignored the entire experience. From time to time searing pains would rack her body, spanning from her abdomen and outward. She wasn't exactly sure why it was happening, but when she went to the doctors to get it looked at, they said that there was some tearing and it would likely heal but it would be painful during sex for awhile and told her to steer clear of that act entirely. It wasn't hard to agree with their diagnosis, she had no one she wanted to sleep with anyway. Well not entirely.

If she could figure out what was wrong with Cobra she probably would've had a hard time listening to their advice. The male's scent was so tantalizing, despite her anger towards him at the moment. She couldn't believe that this is what he was dealing with, it was no wonder he was having a hard time with this. After about three weeks after she was on her feet, she found her closest friends and drug them out of town to go on some missions. She couldn't stand his scent anymore and if she stayed around any longer, she would've likely done something that she would regret. What that was however, was not known to her. She felt like locking him in her apartment for weeks and never letting him leave, that or beating the next person to look at her funny into a bloody pulp.

Hauling Laxus out of his chair, she marched over to the S-class board before commanding him to pick the most difficult job he could find. Leaning over the railing of the second floor, she called down to Gajeel who was reclining in his booth towards the corner of the guild, Lily sitting down next to him and munching on kiwis. Said male looked up at the sound of his name being called, watching as Lucy held her hand up which now held a mission request, courtesy of Laxus who had taken up residence next to her. Gajeel's eyes narrowed on the paper before a smirk lit up his face and he nodded his head.

"7 tonight, train station. Don't be late." Lucy called down to the man, earning a grunt in reply before he turned back to the plate of metal that Mira had put down in front of him.

Lucy turned back to the large blond beside her, her hands resting on her hips as she stared him down. Laxus avoided her gaze for a moment before the blonde forced him to look her in the eye.

"If you are tagging along, don't you go and try to shelter me from this. After the lousy couple of weeks I've had, I need this." Lucy made sure that what she said actually got through to the stubborn mage before she turned around and got Mira to stamp it.

"You know you can't do this alone Lucy, right?" Mira asked before placing the stamp to the paper, watching as Lucy absentmindedly waved her hand at her in dismissal.

"Of course I do Mira. I'm bringing Laxus and Gajeel with me. I need to get out of here, I've been coped up for weeks now and I'm starting to get stir crazy." Lucy smiled at the bar maiden, watching as she bobbed her head up and down in understanding before sending her on her way.

Cobra watched from his shaded corner of the guild as Lucy made her way out of the guild, humming to herself as the doors shut behind her. His gaze drifted towards the two males that had just interacted with the blonde. His gaze landed on Gajeel first. He was chomping on his snack alone at his table, Levy for once not with him as she was hauled up in the library most likely reading over something new she had discovered. The male didn't seem upset that she wasn't there with him, he looked content as he reclined back, his eyes shut at he zoned out.
