Chapter 57: Chains and Whips Excite Me

{D. K}

        "You're going to be helping me today, Marcel," Dakota demands as she walked into his loft without even bothering to knock.

        He raised his bald head from a leather seat, looking at the brunette with strung in eyebrows. "And with what, may I ask?"

       "You may, and with killing Finn Mikaelson. Klaus is out in the bayou at the moment looking for some flower his mother is using to keep Elijah in a constant nightmare and while I did promise not to go after Esther, I didn't say anything about the rest of them."

       Marcel sat straight up, unable to deny his interest in the topic. "I'm listening."

       Dakota grinned but it was clear that whatever she was planning was going to be serious—seriously dangerous. "Sacrificial lamb is constantly protected by a group of werewolves, not to mention he practices magic now and he's pretty damn good at it. He has a weakness and I'm having some trouble finding it."

       Reaching into his back pocket, Marcel reached for his phone pressing a couple buttons. "I already know it, she's a certain blonde with blue eyes and an uncanny attraction to danger."

       "Camille," Dakota pieced together. She wanted to feel bad for endangering the life of a human to make her plans flow, but she couldn't find it in herself and it worried her how her old Dakota—heartless Dakota that allowed together to be killed for her own benefit was slowly beginning to reappear, but she swallowed his guilt and allowed him to make his call.

        Ten minutes, a map, and a coffee that wouldn't work much was what Dakota did to pass time until the blonde over the phone finally completed her end of the deal. "Cami said Vincent wants to meet at the other end of Preservation Hall."

        Quickly observing the map of the Quarter, she ran her fingers over the labeled area, crossing off where the entrance and standard exits were, her index tapping on an alleyway closeby. It was thin and inconvenient, just something they used to hold garbage bins and a means to the other end of the Quarter without having to walk all the way around the block. "We'll have her bring him near there, then we'll come out where the wolves won't be."

        "After we get past those two sides, the alleyway is a blind spot, then we kill him."

        She nods at the plan, her mind forming routes of safety and how to conceal herself and others if anything went wrong, but Dakota was hopeful that things would go smoothly.

        A few more minutes passed until Camille herself was stumbling through the door, a large box in her hands. "I brought some stuff Kieran left, I've been sorting through and labeling them according to what they do and who they work on and these ones are used specifically for witches."
