{Paulo’s POV}

It’s a night for celebration. On The Wings Of Love turned out to be such a hit the management decided to give in to the fans’ request of a live ending. I was half bored to death by the time the whole thing wrapped up. It’s not because I’m not really happy with the success of the show, I’m just not feeling very celebratory.

There will be a victory party later. I went straight to the bar, and I’m on to my 3rd bottle of beer by the time everyone started piling in. This isn’t just a celebration of the series, it’s also some sort of a late celebration for the newlyweds. They’ve been together one week so this makes it their weeksary I guess.

I keep drinking while stealing glances at Nadine every chance I get. By the time they took pictures of us, I’m so out of it one needs only to see the photos to know how drunk I was. I took off instantly, after the customary congratulations, hugs, and beso’s. But I didn’t go straight home. I called up Jake and asked him to join me.

What are we celebrating? Your show?

Nope. Life’s a bitch man and we’re celebrating it.

Haha. Pucha ang arte mo pare! Babae lang yan. Sige, andito na’ko sa Valk. Sunod ka na lang.

Before I could get in my car, Direk Tonette tapped me on the shoulder; Direk Dan on her heels.

Ano? Gusto mong pag-usapan?

Nah. I just need more drinks.

Samahan ka namin.

And that’s how I ended up drinking my misery with them.
