{James’ POV}

Her mom sent me pictures. Every week, I would get a parcel from her. It took me a few weeks to finally look into them. Some would make me smile in amusement. Others would make me feel a pang of loneliness. But one particular picture made me cry. It was a picture of him days before his first birthday. My shoot packed up early, Nath was in Hongkong, and I didn’t want to be alone at the condo. So I drove over to our QC home.

Everyone’s already fast asleep. Lauren left an envelope on my bed and when I opened it and pulled off the contents, the sight of his two teethed smile while playing in a laundry basket welcomed me. It reminded me of a picture I had when I was just a baby. And the tears just started falling and it wouldn’t stop. And for the first time, I wondered if I could turn back the time and change anything, would I? Only, the answer was a definite no. And that made me even more sad.
