"Things aren't always what they seem."

I was sitting on a chair next to the couch, my eyes were closing on its own but I didn't let them close, I didn't want to sleep until Niall wakes up and make sure he was okay. His phone didn't stop vibrating last night, it was exploding phone calls and messages from Chloe. I tried to hide how angry I was, even from myself, but I know deep down that if she's responsible for Niall having a breakdown then she and I can never be friends. Not that she will care, but I'd never like to be a friend with someone like her or even get along with.

I would watch him from time to time while he's sleeping, watch his chest while it goes up and down slowly and no, this is not creepy at all. The sight of him sleeping so peacefully from the outside was so relaxing and nice to see, even though from the inside wasn't that good.

I decided to get up, slowly of course, so it won't wake him up. I walked to the bathroom and washed my face to refresh myself. I went to the kitchen and started to make breakfast for the two of us, I'm sure when he wakes up he'll be hungry. When I'm done I put the plates on the table then went back to the living room, looking at the clock that was hanging on the wall to see it was already 10 o'clock. I walked closer to Niall, hesitated on whether I should wake him up or not. He looked so peaceful like this. I shook the thought away as my hand gently traveled to his cheek and started to caress slowly.

"Niall?" I whispered, still caressing on his cheek.

"Niall wake up." I said, getting closer to him. I didn't want to make any sudden moves. His eyes started to open as I stopped caressing his cheek. When they actually opened they stared back at mine then his lips curled up in a smile.

"Hi." His voice was deep and raspy it melted me from the inside.

"Hi," I smiled at him, then I realized I was so close to him and he might not like it so I stepped away.

"I made you breakfast, I thought you could be hungry." I let him know, as he pulled the blanket away from him, standing up. He took the phone from the table and checked it.

"It's so kind of you, but I have to go." He said while still checking his phone, he was frowning now. I kind of was a little disappointed when he said it, I didn't think he'd want to leave this quickly.

"Can't you at least taste anything? It's not healthy for you." I tried again to make him stay just a little bit. He put his phone in his pocket.

"I'll probably eat something on my way, don't worry." He gave me a tight smile that didn't convince me, while sitting down to wear his shoes. Okay, now I was sad. When he finished and looked around him if he left something here or there but there was none so he turned to look at me with a smile. He walked closer to me when he noticed that I was pouting, he put both of his hands on my shoulder.

"Thank you so much for letting me in last night even though we-um-weren't exactly speaking, you're seriously the most amazing friend I've ever known. I'm sorry though if I did anything stupid I wasn't in a good state as you may have noticed." He started off all serious but then he chuckled at the end of his sentence which made me smile a sad smile, I didn't know what to say I didn't even want to, I just kept staring at his blue eyes, eventually nodding.

"I'll see you tonight then," He said as his hands left my shoulder.

"Please don't forget to eat." I told him. He opened the door, nodding with a smile, then he closed the door behind him and it felt like he took a piece of my heart with him. With everything that suppose to be worrying me right now I worry about him not eating?
