"You're always one decision away from a totally different life."

-

It was a chilly day and I was walking home from a café nearby, it was just a block away from my apartment so sometimes I would put on a jacket and just go grab a coffee or something. My parents had left two days ago, which wasn't surprising to say the least, but I didn't care anyways it's like their thing now and I decided to be cool about it.

So, I was texting Candice on my way back to see if we're still on for tonight, we were gonna hang out together with the girls and I wanted to know where and when, I was just reading the text Candice sent me when suddenly I bumped into something, at first I thought it was a wall or something from how hard it felt, but then I realized it was someone's chest, a guy's hard muscled chest that was now stained with every single drop of the coffee I had planned to savor cuddled up at home.

The guy mumbled a low 'fuck' and yelped probably from how hot the coffee was and I was in a semi-shock as to what happened, but I quickly gathered myself.

"Oh, my god! I'm so so sorry!" I quickly apologized to the guy, he just kept checking down at his white t-shirt that now became brown-ish because of me.

"Nah, It's fine I didn't like the t-shirt that much anyways." And then looked up at me and smiled. I stopped for a second, realizing that I've seen the guy before, until I remembered him from the party we went last time, he was one of the guys that Grace and Scar introduced us to. Steven I think?

"Hey, I know you!" I said all of a sudden.

"Yeah, you're Grace and Scarlet's friend right?" he said, remembering too with a smile. I nodded, returning the smile, then I remembered what I did to him just seconds ago so I snapped out.

"Anyways, my apartment is near from here I can clean your t-shirt quickly if you don't mind." I offered.

"Really? I don't wanna be a bother," he scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"No! Not at all, please follow me." I gently said, he nodded with that cute smile he had- okay I needed to shut up right now.

At first we walked in silence -a comfortable one- and I didn't know what to say since I don't know the guy that much.

"So how long have you been living here?" Steven asked.

"A year or so, do you live around?"

"No, but I come here to visit some friends of mine from time to time."

"Cool- oh we're here!"I said as I pointed at my apartment and he looked at it.

"Not bad," he said which made me chuckle.

"Better than nothing, you know?" I said as we entered and i turned around to close the door behind us , but the moment i turned back , what i saw made my eyes nearly bulge out

"Woah." I yelped when I saw Steven and may I add, shirtless.

"Well that escalated quickly," I chuckled re-composing myself quickly.

"I'm a man of fast moves," he said with a grin, shrugging.

"Uh- why don't you let me take the t-shirt and you make yourself comfortable?" I suggested, looking anywhere but his abs.

No need to even tell him to make himself comfortable since he's already shirtless in my apartment.

"Okay, but let me know if you want me to keep you company." I would've said that it was just him flirting, but the expression on his face was nothing but a grin that it almost made me feel like he wasn't flirting.
